    Hi all,

This week has been a long one so far – weather! Roll on spring!

So on Saturday shopping day we were really flooded here so I couldn’t go through and do my shielding parents shopping or get my own so had to make do with the local shop which isn’t great and has random items like numerous loose and bagged lettuce, herbs and mixed leaves but a tiny amount of cucumbers and tomatoes and no spring onions or celery or other staple salad bits. Got what I could though.

Scroll forward to today where I had to walk to work as there has been so much snow I couldn’t have got the car out and the main road was atrocious. This meant I couldn’t get home at lunchtime for my prepared lunch so had to get a takeout via my boss which was a cheese and ham toastie with HM coleslaw and chips – oh my it was delicious but felt very naughty! So a very sw friendly dinner tonight and hope it hasn’t caused too much damage. I have sourced a pasta recipe today using the sw facebook page and a borrowed leek from my neighbour! A creamy leek and chicken pasta which I will have prepared tonight and it will be ready for lunches etc. it is made using the lightest Philadelphia pesto, leeks, onion, chicken and pasta which has been cooked in veg stock. Will be nice for a wee change.

I actually lost a pound on Saturday so the 3 stone award is creeping closer! Really going to sit and redo my food diary for the rest of the week tonight based on what I have left so there are no more slip ups!

It's just one meal klew so I wouldn't worry too much.  You can always cut back your syns between now and WI so that you can pull it back.  As you know a few of us have high syn weekends and lower weekday syns and it works although losses may be a bit slower.

I've got quite a bit of the pizza tomato sauce left over from lunch today so have changed the meal plan for later in the week and will make a pasta dish of some sort - will have a think about how I'll use it!  Think I've changed it for Friday's dinner so no KFC this week.  I've already got chicken out for tomorrow so need to use that tomorrow and then DH asked for steak so that's what we're having on Thursday.

Thanks for posting the post about the plan maman.  I'm sure lizbob and other new people will find it very useful.  Is it possible to move that post to the 1st post like it used to be?  It would make it much easier to find or point other newbies to it.

Have you never been to a group liz, or is it just now during lockdown? If you've never been then look at the sample menu on the Slimming World site for ideas  and we can find you other advice on old threads. Let us know. 😊
no never been, decided SW seemed like a sensible non faddy plan to shift the ridiculous amount of lbs i gained over the various lockdowns through boredom eating and mine and my husbands new habit of "wine with press conference" !!  i found a blog that laid out the rules and listed free foods, speed foods HEA and HEB's and syns but obviously the syns were just the obvious ones...

No problem liz. Just ask if you want any syn values. We can always look them up for you and FYI wine is, on average, 30 syns a bottle! That's one I know without looking it up. 🤣
