I always buy jars of beetroot too GTQ. So much easier than the vac packed stuff which I only buy when on offer which isn't very often for me as I don't use Aldi! I usually buy mine in B&M or Lidl as we don't have a Farmfoods unfortunately.
That sounds like a great hob you've got sary where you can keep it on very low and with a timer! That sounds very useful.
Off to get a bit of shopping this morning as have completely run out of fruit apart from a single orange which won't go far! Going to look to see if there are any £1.50 fruit and veg boxes in Lidl but they'll probably be gone by the time we get there.
Today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs & spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
L - Spinach and Ricotta cannelloni - HEA2; P; S; F
D - Spanish chicken - P; S; F; 3.5
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Ricotta
HEB - bread
Syns - chorizo 3.5
Have a good day and keep safe.2 -
Morning all,
Chicken salad again for lunch I did enjoy it yesterday but I do like something warm inside me at this time of year!
Tonight is chilli which is packed with speed with a baked potato, last night it was with rice so mixing it up a bit.
Think tomorrow I might do one of these wraps that everyone is raving about, not sure if you have all seen it but you split the wrap into four and place the toppings in each section then fold, optional toasting so I thought I may do that with bacon medallions, egg mushrooms and beans or like tuna salad? I will see

Afternoon all. Schnitzel went down very well denise. DH was even ok about the fact there was more red cabbage than anything else on the plate 🤣 And we tried the wrap thing you're talking about klew when we had fajitas a couple of weeks ago and it worked a treat. No more dripping sauce / salsa everywhere!
Didn't get a chance to have a workout yesterday as I needed to buy a new kettle so thought I'd pick one up in the supermarket while I was there, turns out the one I wanted had gone up in price but I could get it on sale in Argos. Ordered it to collect and then had to drive an hour out of my way to pick it up because the roads were so bad! Oh well, still managed to have dinner on the table in under 30 minutes and resisted a takeaway so it's all good!
Breakfast today was a couple of satsumas and then lunch was a tomato sandwich (don't ask, I just thought it sounded really good when I was getting ready for work!). Have a couple more satsumas to snack on later and then dinner tonight is going to be some tinned sardines in tomato sauce with some pasta and green beans which again, was something that sounded good this morning and will take minimum effort to pull together when I get home.

Ruby glad you enjoyed the Schnitzel. I've added a chicken Schnitzel to my menu plan for February - absolutely loved it when we had it on holiday in Germany! Will definitely be having one again when we next go to Germany, whenever that may be - possibly next year now, can't see us getting abroad this year if I'm honest.
milann I quite agree that bake yourself baguette is well worth the syns occasionally! You have to watch them though as they do vary in syns - I bought 2 packs from Morries and they were different brands; the Morries own brand was higher syns than the other one (can't remember which one it was but it was very slightly smaller but not enough to worry about!).
I really struggled doing my menu plan today as wanted to use up a lot of the stuff from the freezer which unfortunately contains an awful lot of veggie meals so it's difficult to get them into the menu without DH moaning too much but I think I've managed it!

Yes Joe Denise. The bake yourself vary a lot. This is one we had left over from Christmas and I zapped the packing. - 😂😂😂I’ve only just loaded the scanner and I love it 😂😂 I can’t even remember where the bake yourself was from. I usually get the Aldi one but this wasn’t from there.
today has been
Breakfast hea + heb beans and cheesy toast.
dinner - pork, celery and apple salad.Tea - sweet and sour pork 2 syns with rice.
snacks - Jamie dodgers 4 1/2 syns, raspberries and banana with yoghurt teaspoon of maple syrup 1/2 syn teaspoon cocoa 1 syn
The pork should be finished after today. There might just be enough for a butty tomorrow and I didn’t have any crackling 😇January spends - £587.581 -

Well done on your loss jax. You're on a roll. 👏👏👏
What about doing some soup to go with your salad klew? It wouldn't be enough for me, especially at this time of the year. 🤔
Back soon. 😊3 -
