Evening all
It was a nice quietish day in work today, one of good things about snow it does keep people safe inside. Apart from the odd person who falls outside on the Ice 🙄.
Breakfast today was weetabix then as usual, as I was in work, I had chicken, cous cous and veg and tonight I'm having a prawn Stirfry can't wait (I do love a stir fry) its cooking as I type this😁:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A1 -
Very much on plan jax. Well done. 😊
It was helpful denise. I'm inclined to go with 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' too. I don't bother with searing meat for the SC either but wondered whether anyone thought newer models had more to offer. I've never used my SC for cooking on the day but like an extra saucepan that I don't need to watch on the hob. 🤔

I very rarely use my slow cooker, food just does not taste the same

We had a new slow cooker bought us for Christmas. It’s a red one to match my new kettle and toaster. I think it’s Morphy Richards. It has a metal inner and we’ve used it quite a lot. Dh has fried his spices and meat for curries then left it on all day - he thinks it’s way better than the old one. My old one had an auto button on it - it started high and once at temp turned itself to low. This one hasn’t and I miss that feature.Yesterday we did a curry club at bubble relatives home. I made myself a SW Korma from the fakeaway book. I’d got into the habit of a jar of sauce. I have finally installed the app on my phone and been scanning everything 😂😂

Morning all,
Had a nice weekend just pottering and the weekly shop, lost a pound which I am happy with, its heading in the right direction.
Mixing things up again this week and back on the salads for lunchtimes. I prepped a salad this morning, mixed herb salad leaves, spring onion, cucumber, celery, grated carrot, grated cheese and sweetcorn. When I get home I will add chicken, pickled onion and the egg I boiled this morning. I got a balsamic and garlic salad spray, never tried this before so going to try that. Its half a syn for 15 squirts I think.
Made a chilli for this week and a lasagne for the freezer, 8 portions of chilli and lasagne out of one pack of mince – packed out with speed. Grated the carrot into it the next batch I make im going to do that again.
Got rid of my slow cooker when I bought my house and moved, and I haven’t missed it

Morning all, a much nicer day today. Think it's the brightest it's been for a long time. It always makes me feel better than when it's grey.
Lovely breakfast bubbs. Are they Linda McCartney sausages? I like them but DH doesn't which is why we always have the butcher's sausages, although I do occasionally have them in a sandwich and DH has fish fingers which I can't stand!
Today's plan is a Green day, although probably won't have the 2nd HEA/HEB but it's there if I'm peckish this evening:
B - baked oats; mixed frozen fruit; frozen cherries; yoghurt - HEB1; S; F
L - jacket potato; beans; salad - F; S
D - vegetable bolognaise, pasta; parmasan - P; S; F; part HEA2
S - Ryvita; Primula Light - HEB2; part HEA2 (if peckish this evening!)
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - Parmasan/Primula Light
HEB1 - oats
HEB2 - Ryvita
Syns - none planned

Woke up this morning and looked out the bedroom window to yet another blanket of snow 😕. The novelty is gone now it can stop 😂.
My toe is much better now so I no longer have an excuse not to do body magic. Set up the treadmill and I'll get on it shortly. In work tonight so I'll have a nap afterwards (any excuse for a nap!!)
Breakfast was weetabix again, I've found it keeps me full all morning so I will keep having it. Also I struggle to have my hex As and Bs as I avoid bread and I drink black tea and rarely drink coffee.
Lunch is going to be Alaskan Pollock Cabbage and mushy Peas.
Dinner will be at work so no surprise its chicken, cous cous and veg. I buy chicken breast in bulk from my local butcher and batch cook them with different seasoning before freezing them for work lunches and dinners so although it sounds boring having the same thing all the time in work its always a variety of flavour 😊:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A1 -
Well done klew
Jax i often have the same, i was going to have overnight weetabix today for a change but forgot to do them last night 😂 but the cooked breakfast was lush 😍
Denise yes they are, everytime i go Asda i keep buying a couple of packs as they were still on offer at £1.25, i am sure they will change soon, i won't pay £2.50 a pack for them though!
I have decided we are having savory mince for tea, done the veg already, well had done it by 8 while cooking brekkie
Imade veg soup for lunch and added a can of oxtail soup to it, i used to do that when i made stew, if i had some stewing steak i would have made a stew. It's only 2 1/2 syns a can so l think i will get 3 lunches from it so less than a syn per lunch 😋Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:1 -
Afternoon all! Think we have the same slow cooker milann, must admit I've never used the sear function because I can't be bothered 🤣
We had a good few inches of snow yesterday which looked pretty for about 5 minutes as I drove to the supermarket and then I suddenly found myself sliding into a roundabout 😒 managed to keep control of the car so no damage but limped home and will have to make a stop there tonight on the way home from work.
Happy to report a tiny loss of 0.2lbs this week. Hardly anything but it's big for me after a week of stress. Thought today would be my last day on redeployment but the manager wants to see me tomorrow to help her with some "very specific projects" 🙄 so we'll see. Have managed to keep up with the exercise for most of last week and will try to get something done when I get home this evening.
Breakfast was a couple of LM sausages and a boiled egg and lunch was a couple of satsumas. Dinner tonight is going to be chicken schnitzel with red cabbage and mashed potato.
