Thank you maman. That's not so bad at just under 1 syn per chunk.  It's gone back into the cupboard anyway, as I didn't need any really.  It'll be there for another rainy day when I'm feeling the urge.  As very dark choc I will probably only ever be able to have 1 or 2 chunks anyway at a time.

Respect sary. At least you know the syns if you fancy a treat. Like denise, I sometimes have a tiny bit of dark chocolate occasionally. Just a taste with a cuppa can feel good.

Well done on the pound loss milann . 👏👏👏I know exactly what you mean by not wasting food in the freezer. We wouldn't be on here if we weren't mse converts. Fortunately, as time goes on we have less and less synful food hanging around.

Morning all, wow what a difference to yesterday weatherwise!  It's bright, sunny and a little bit blowy but not too much.  Wish I hadn't done my washing yesterday now - could have dried on the line this morning rather than on the airer overnight, plus the bedding tumble dried!

Sary I usually keep a bar of Lidl dark chocolate in the fridge as I like my chocolate to be firm rather than soft.  DH is also less likely to pinch it from there!  In fact I must add it to my list this week for when I go to Lidl as haven't had any in there for a while and after reading on here about it I fancied a couple of squares and couldn't (I don't like drinking chocolate or cocoa so that wouldn't work as a substitute for me!).

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up:  sausages; eggs; mushrooms; grilled tomatoes; beans - P; S; F; 2
L - HM pate on toast; HM pear chutney; salad:  HEB; P; S; 0.5
    D - roast beef dinner & trimmings:  P; S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausages 2; chutney 0.5; yorkie 2

Have a good day and keep safe.

It's lovely here too denise, just about to go out for a bit of a walk. I'm not 100% sure what to have for lunch other than more eggs! 😊 Probably soup!

I made some ceeleriac mash yesterday as well as the swede & carrot. DH isn't that keen on it so I've frozen it in a muffin tray which will be  a big enough portion for me. It's a bit like braised red cabbage, if you have too much it  can swamp the flavour of everything else.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- lentil and veg soup? (P,F)
D- roast chicken (P), LM stuffing and SW potatoes (F), many veg (S)
Syns- gravy 4, weekend wine 😊

Absolutely agree about the celeriac mash being a bit powerful flavourwise.  Have you tried it as remoulade?  Your DH might like it that way as it has other flavours with it - it's just mayo; bit of mustard; grated celeriac and a bit of lemon juice.  It's nice as part of a salad.

Have made my batter mix so it can rest until dinner later.  Hoping it rises a bit more than it usually does with having a longer rest period.

Decided in the end to wash the door mats so they're on the line.  Not sure they'll completely dry with being so late going out but at least they'll dry on the airer overnight if necessary so ready for when we need to go outside!

    Afternoon all 🤗
Bit (more than a bit 😤) disappointed as only lost 1lb in last 2 weeks 🥺. Still a loss I know but painfully slow.
Food has been on plan although missed a few lunches due to not being hungry through tummy pain or just being too damn cold! My body temp dropped to 35.2 on Friday 🥶.
Not totally happy in work as keep being asked to work in different bubbles! If I don’t get Covid it will be a miracle, do wear a mask all day though. Making me want his nibs back ( no not really 🤣)!
Didnt go out at all yesterday due to snow so went to Mr T this morning. Was a bit overcrowded if you ask me, queued for zappy tills which not done since March and big queue outside when I came out!
My baby is 27 tomorrow 😱 don’t know where time goes 🥺
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

TIE losing a lb is fine - at least it's going in the right direction.  I also didn't think you were supposed to work in different "bubbles".  My next door neighbour is a TA and they asked her to move to another bubble but she refused saying it isn't allowed.  More recently she's actually been told not to go into work as she is over 60!

bubbs the pate was really good, better than I was expecting if I'm honest.  DH loved the flavour too which I was surprised about.  Not sure talking about celeriac counts really :)!  No I make yorkies using equal volumes of flour, eggs and water - I measure 50g of flour and then measure the eggs and water by volume.  I've decided the reason they haven't been rising is because I was using silicon pan so going to make them in an old metal one today as think that could be the problem.  Will let you know how it goes later!
