Freezer meals are a godsend when you have to change the plan denise . It's relatively easy on a weekly plan but would have a domino effect on the rest of the month for you. 🤔
I went to the bank this morning and when I got back DH was having a fishcake for his lunch! I had planned to have some for dinner! Fortunately I was going to Lidl this afternoon so kept out some of the salmon but I could have moved chilli otherwise.
I don't often share the plan with DH as he likes a surprise but I may have to change that. 😉0 -
I've just swapped meals over with ones later in the week so it's not really a problem, just a nuisance and it seems to be happening quite frequently. DH knows what we're having as I leave the list on the fridge door, along with the shopping list which he's supposed to add to when something he uses gets low but of course that doesn't happen very often!
I haven't actually got many ready meals in the freezer at the moment just the individual meats etc for meals. Trying not to add too much as want to run the freezer down if I can before we go to France for a month in September, assuming of course we can go without having to bother with all the PCR tests! Will also give me a chance to defrost the cheese freezer which it definitely could do with sooner rather than later!

Morning all,
Yes I do @maman , I wear a fitbit and it is connected to myfitnesspal, if I bite it I write it. Yesterday I had 1449 calories. I earnt exercise calories as the walk I did with the friend (really nice but rained for most of it at 18c) but I don’t use them if that makes sense. I aim for 1200 calories each day but anything up to 1600 1700 is the aim to have a loss.
The walk was lovely, I underestimated it and we came back to the cars after just over 5 miles instead of the three I thought it might be but we both really enjoyed it, as did the pups. Like a little reunion for them as they don’t see each other as much because of the pandemic.
Spinning night tonight
B crunchy nut ss milk
L tuna pasta salad
D ping corned beef hash and peas.

Morning all. DH has gone off to golf so have a few hours to myself but still not up to doing very much as my right shoulder and upper arm are quite sore and painful. Definitely need to give the bathroom and kitchen the once over as not been done properly since we got back and the cupboards are definitely showing that! Lots of splashes of tea on them for example but DH just doesn't think about wiping them immediately but at least he's been making the tea and cooking although I did do some cooking yesterday and I think that's probably why my shoulder and arm are a bit worse for wear this morning.
I have vac packed the shortbread into 2s and stuck them in the freezer so they don't get stale before DH manages to eat them all - I hadn't realised just how many pieces there were! I've packed 4 lots, there are a couple in the tin and DH has already eaten 3 or 4 pieces and I've had 2. Hopefully DH won't eat them all this week by doing this!
Today's plan:
B - breakfast hash topped with eggs - bacon, tinned potatoes, mushrooms, tomatoes, celery, onions, spring onions, peppers, eggs - P; S; F
L - low fat burger & onions in a part baked roll - S; 7.5
D - pork steaks, mash, green veg - P; S; F
S - Ryvita; HM hummus - HEB; P; S (if needed)
HEA - milk
HEB - Ryvita
Syns - burger 0.5; part baked roll 7!
The roll is a bit of a waste of syns but they need to be used up as getting close to their sell by date. It's one of the things we tend to use when we're away in the van but as we came home early they didn't get used!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Yes, I understand what you're saying klew. You don't rely on the exercise to 'buy' yourself extra calories. You keep the calories low and any extra used up in exercise is just a bonus. I suppose after a while you just know which are the lower calorie foods that you enjoy and can fill yourself up on. 🤔
Good idea to pack up the HM shortbread denise. It would make a nice treat for, say, a picnic rather than your DH just eat them because they're there. Don't push your luck with your shoulder. You're allowed to rest!
I texted my consultant yesterday to check it was OK for me to turn up at group on Thursday. Unfortunately Yes!! 😉 It's not a massive room at this new hall so until next Monday she'd have to limit the numbers. I wonder whether everything will go back to 'normal' then with groups for the proper length of time, no masks, social distancing, raffles and drinks back and no flip flops! 🤔 I don't really feel huge or anything but as I was right on the top of range last time, even the tiniest gain will take me over.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S), pickles (S)
D- chilli sin carne (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
Syns- 01 -
That’s basically it @maman , it means nothing is not allowed, it is literally everything in moderation. The tuna pasta salad came out at 314kcals and I had a freddo too at 95kcals, I already know the ping meal is 321 and peas I think I will have around 80kcals.
Today is slimming world friendly and within syns. I still use some sw recipes, because I like them and when they are full of speed it basically means they are full of good ie veg
There may be a small snack between finishing work and going to spin at 7.30.
Im not as hung up on syns now as I know that some of what sw say you can have… is pretty calorific yet low syns.

I definitely am resting! My shoulder was killing me after I'd wiped the kitchen cupboards and drawers so didn't do the bathroom. I've been sat down most of the time looking at stuff on here and a couple of other websites I use.
Cooked myself some lunch earlier and cooked enough onions for DH to just reheat them and brown them a bit if he wants to along with the burger. His part baked rolls are cooked as well, did them all at the same time. Glad there aren't any more of those to use up - they're tiny for 7 syns! I needed to cut my burger in half to fit it in, LOL!
I'm sure you'll be fine for WI on Thursday maman, even if it's STS you'll still be in target which is more than can be said for me! I jumped on the scales this morning and I'm still 1.5lb over target range so have only lost a lb of the big gain - the fudge has a lot to answer for, LOL!
I'm just about to sit down and have a cuppa and a biscuit.

I am taking it easy Beanie but it's hard! I feel so helpless when I can't even chop the onions for meals! DH has gone off to golf again this morning but has chopped the onions so I can at least get the meat part of shepherds pie cooked and make it up to go in the oven as made sure he cut enough potatoes and mashed them for tonight as well! Will get it all prepped and then it will just be a case of popping it into the oven to heat through and brown the potatoes and cook some veg to go with it.
Need to check what we're having for dinner tomorrow and see if I need to get anything out of the freezer this morning. Think I'm going to try and do a freezer inventory today as that shouldn't be too strenuous! I know most of what is in there but I'm sure I'm going to need to buy some things, for example I know I'm going to use up the bag of mince today so will need another one as have a keema curry planned!
Probably won't get anything else done as most things involve lifting or pressure on my shoulder so will not be doing that - just going to rest as much as I can.
Today's plan:
B - bacon and tomato sandwich - HEB; P; S; 3.5
L - stuffed peppers; salad - HEA2; S; F
D - shepherds pie; green veg - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Have a good day everyone.
