Morning all! Sorry to hear you're still finding things a bit difficult denise, hope things start easing up soon. I keep a rough eye on calories too klew but I'm not 100% strict with it, just like to see that I'm eating a varied diet, with everything in moderation and a big serving of fruit or veg with every meal.
Had a relatively quiet few days - managed to get some antibiotics from the GP on Friday so the bites aren't as bad as they were. Took it easy over the weekend and then Monday we went to RHS Wisley for the day as we've lived about 20 minutes from it for about 10 years but have never been 😆 DH surprised me with lunch in the restaurant as it was 15 years since our first date so he thought he would treat us both - had a lovely salmon fillet with a watercress sauce, grilled courgettes and some crushed new potatoes alongside a slice of flourless chocolate cake 😋 while he had a burger and "the best chips he's ever had" with an Eton mess afterwards.
I was clever and booked yesterday off work too and spent the whole day on the sofa as I had a terrible migraine. It's still hanging around a little today but nowhere near as bad. Had the usual yogurt with strawberries and granola for breakfast, lunch is going to be a tuna salad and then dinner is a chicken stir fry with some noodles - nice and easy 👍

@ruby_eskimo I seem to have ended up with 3 tubs of phili light hence why im have the marmite mushrooms tonight to start using it up, I’m conscious of how many calories I will be having during the day so need to go easy on the rice, if I have it with it.0

Grr to that noisy dog klew. We all need a good night's sleep.
That sounds like a lovely day out ruby, very romantic (and quite a good choice for lunch).
How frustrating, not being able to do basic things like that denise. Well done to your DH getting things organised before he was allowed out to play! 🤣
It's a really lovely day here, so pleased for bubbs if she's having this weather in Yorkshire.
I'm going to hold fire on my menu for the day as things could go horribly wrong. We had a phone call from my BIL this morning to ask if they could call in later (they're going to the big M&S near us as their local one closed down) . It'll be good to see them as we've not met up for ages and ages. Anything could happen from eating out to midweek wine!🤔 I don't want to be inhospitable but...0 -
Eating out and midweek wine could be disastrous if your WI tomorrow! Used to happen to me frequently - don't know why but always fancied wine on a Wednesday night!!! But if you do go out to eat I'm sure you can be sensible and you could always be "designated driver" in order to avoid the wine syns! But enjoy whatever you decide to do.
Our weather isn't brilliant today maman - it's grey and overcast but the forecast is for temperatures of up to 18 or 19 later so not cold but certainly not overly warm. Supposed to be better over the next few days. Hopefully temperatures are higher up in Yorkshire for bubbs and definitely not as windy as it is here.
I've done a quick outside freezer inventory and annoyed to find I haven't actually got the mince I thought I had so tonight's shepherds pie is going to be a veggie one - I found a bag of veggie "bolognaise" in the freezer so have defrosted that and added soya mince to it. Have "beefed" it up with beef stock cubes, some gravy browning and Worcester sauce. Was going to add some red lentils as well but there were already quite a few green lentils in the mix so decided against that. Mince has been added to the shopping list for tomorrow - it's getting longer as the day goes on!

Oh forgot to add that last week's 0.5lb gain had gone on Monday morning - not sure that will be the same message next Monday 😆Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

Good news about that gain disappearing ruby. We'll worry abut next Monday when it comes. 😊
As anticipated plans have gone awry today. DH hasn't seen his sister since before first lockdown so, as many birthdays and other occasions have been missed, wanted to go out for lunch. I was very restrained. I had one G&T, unfortunately with Fever Tree (always think that's a pretentious waste of syns) and moules mariniiere , no chips but a bit of bread. It was great to catch up and now all I can do is hope for the best tomorrow. I don't plan to have another meal today but may have some soup or a snack if I'm really hungry.
Breakfast was scrambled egg so that was fine.
It's a glorious day here, 24 degrees and sunny. We sat outside at the pub and it was lovely. 😊

Absolutely agree maman about Fever Tree - I actually really dislike it and won't have G&T if they serve it. I think you did really well with your choices, I'm sure you'll be fine but if you're out of target you'll have your grace week to get rid of it!
Not had any real sun here today; it's brightened up a bit and it's fairly warm but probably only about 20 degrees or so. At least the wind has dropped!

DH just went to get bacon out of the freezer for tomorrow's breakfast but I told him I was going to SW so would have my Puffed Wheat that I always have on WI days. I'm not surprised he doesn't remember as I only go every 8 weeks. Then he said he wouldn't have suggested lunch if he'd known. I really don't think I'd have got to target and kept the weight off for 10 years (next month) without his help. 😍.
He makes breakfast every day (from a list of SW friendly options I gave him when I started) and happily eats a SW meal every night. I'm sure I'd have given up long ago if I had to cook different meals. 🤔1
