Well done on your pound bubbs.😁 I have heard that having a complete change can kick start weightloss so perhaps that's it. 🤔
It's a shame the kebab is such a faff denise. I'm a very lazy cook. 😉
My lunch was more like a hash than an omelette as there were far more vegetables than eggs. tasted good though. 😋
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), HEB toast, HEA1 milk, fried egg, bacon (P)
L- veggie 'omelette' (P,S), pickles (S)
D- mushroom stroganoff (P,S, HEA2), brown rice (F)
Syns- alcoholic syns? (not sure which yet)0 -
maman I think the main reason I found it a faff was because of having to chop and mince the lamb myself to ensure it was syn free. I'm sure it would be much easier with bought lamb mince but then there would be syns which I wanted to avoid (I'd rather use the syns on alcohol and chocolate?). The chilli sauce needs to be cooked and then cooled but not sure I'd bother with it again as don't think it really added anything and DH said although it was nice it didn't really "go" with the garlic sauce!
If I make it again I'll definitely do the full recipe rather than half as it freezes OK. I didn't want to make it and then find it didn't actually freeze too well. Might even double the recipe and make 8 portions. The kebab meat was really nice. - I actually preferred it to the stuff from the kebab shop!
Haven't had mushroom stroganoff for a long time. That's something I may well cook while we're away in the van next month as it's a one pan dish and they are so much better than something that needs loads of pans - I've only got 3 rings and it's difficult to use them all at the same time as the pans just don't fit!

My consultant sorted out my access to the website and app but she's done it by sending in STS which they can still do at the moment from virtual WI. Technically now I suppose I could have another 8 weeks. I asked her why I had the 'go to group' message so soon. She just said that nothing makes sense at the moment. 🤔 I'm pleased she's found a way around it but still no wiser as to why it happened. I really CBA to contact SW myself as they take ages to reply and then don't answer the question you asked them.0

I must try egg wraps bubbs. How many eggs do you use for them? 🤔1

Decided to make some "sweet" treats for DH and I, mainly because DH is missing having treats with sticking to SW. Have made some syn free Lemon Meringue pies which are now cooked and cooling. Have just put in a try of SW brownies which work out at about 0.5 syns each depending on how many pieces I cut it into. I've put it into an 8" square cake tin and the mix is 6.5 syns. I'll probably cut it into 12 pieces so that they are a half decent size.
Have made them both before and they're OK but obviously nothing like the real thing!

D - gammon, potatoes, onions, carrots; followed by lemon meringue pie - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - WM roll
Syns - burger 0.5; HM brownies 1

Hope you and your DH enjoy the sweet treats denise. My go to pudding (usually for visitors but occasionally for DH) is an Eton Mess. Personally I'm happy with berries and yogurt and usually have a sprinkling of sweetener to make it taste a bit more like cream. DH has the meringue which is quite low syn.
I'm using the last portion of braised red cabbage from the freezer today so note to self I must make more sometime this week. I need to cook up the celeriac too. DH isn't a huge fan so I generally mix it with a bit of potato to make it milder. I freeze it in a muffin tin as a small portion is enough as it's a strong flavour and can overpower everything else.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, strawberries (S)
L- JP (F), cottage cheese (P), pickles and spring onions (S)
D- roast chicken (P), SW roast potatoes, LM stuffing (F), carrots, swede, greens, cauli, broccoli, red cabbage (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4, weekend wine😊0 -
maman I'm not particularly bothered by sweet stuff although I'll eat it if it's there! The brownies aren't too sweet as it uses cocoa powder which is quite bitter and not a massive amount of sweetener in it. Decided to cut it into 8 pieces so counting each piece as 1 syn, mainly because I only had enough sweetener to make half the recipe so they are a bit thin!
I use a silicon muffin tin to freeze small portions of lots of different things! Recently I used half a carton of passata so the other half I froze in 2 muffin holes. I also use it to freeze light coconut milk in 100ml portions as that is all I use in a curry to make it a bit creamy. I also use it when I make baked oats as then I can have some for breakfast and keep one for later to have with a cuppa mid morning.
I quite like celeriac but more often use it raw in salads or use like a veg stick to dip in a yoghurty dip. Have got some cut up into chips in the freezer which I'll get round to using at some stage!
Enjoy your roast chicken dinner.
