Great that you got beetroot bubbs. We eat loads of that. I bought vacuum packed beetroot from Aldi today. Even though it's not on offer, at 98p (IIRC) per kg it's better value than most jars.

I like jars better than the vacum packed, but like fresh best of all, used to like ham and beetroot sarnie 😂

I prefer jarred beetroot to the vacuum packed too bubbs.  Not had fresh beetroot for a few years really.  Our local farm shop haven't had any over the last few years.  The last time we had fresh was when we had an allotment for a while until DH had problems with his knees and wasn't able to dig any more.  I ended up roasting and pickling most of it!

Have to take the motorhome into the garage this morning for its annual service and MOT.  Won't be able to pick it up until Tuesday as DH is playing golf on Monday.  No idea when it'll actually be ready but if it isn't ready to be picked up early Tuesday it will have to wait until later on as we have to take our DGD for her 1st jab at lunchtime and the nearest place she could get an appointment is about 20 miles away!  She's got to sort out someone else to take her for her 2nd one in September as we'll be away.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - HM lamb doner kebab, salad, HM garlic sauce; HM chilli sauce, pitta bread - HEB; P; S; F; 1
    D - braised steak & onions, mushrooms, mash, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - pitta bread
Syns - LTL mayo 1; couple of rum & ginger beer 5

That's having fish & chips, picky tea, more carbs, chocolate!! Bloody strange, i was already for a gain!

I got some fresh beetroot from Marks the other week as it was on offer and it was delicious 😋

That's a long way to go for a jab Denise

Well done!  🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁 how's that bubbs!  Looks like you definitely needed to mix things up a bit!!!  Let's hope it carries on.  Has having more carbs caused you any problems?  If not maybe that's the way to go.

The jab place is the closest to where we live for youngsters - she's only 22.  The nearest walk in centre is over 50 miles away!  The problem with those is that you don't know when your 2nd jab will be and she needs to have hers before mid September which she has already arranged as she will be back to uni on, I think, 20 September.

Shame it's cold where you are as it's lovely and sunny and quite warm.

The kebab was gorgeous!  Will definitely be making it again but it won't be very often as it's a bit of a faff, particularly as I mince my own lamb leg meat so that I can make sure it's low fat - the lowest you seem to be able to get in the shops is 10% and to be quite honest my local Mr Ts and Sainsbugs don't seem to ever have it when I've looked so it's much easier just to use some lamb leg and mince it myself.  If anyone wants to try it I used the Slimming Eats recipe, including the chilli sauce and garlic sauce - the garlic sauce could have done with being a bit more garlic.

    Glad you enjoyed the kebab
