LO chips! That's unheard of in our house!🤣

Seriously, I've perfected the portion size as I know if I cut enough chips to fill my smallest saucepan then that's just about right. It's also the right amount to fit the mesh tray that I use too.

We're having roast lamb today. I know it's fatty and probably more than the 4 syns I allow for all HM gravy but my reasoning is to have it now when I'm not going to WI. Then when I'm on a mission to lose I try to have things like HB steaks on a Sunday that I know are very low syn. We're enjoying the football so I need to plan my cooking times around that today.

I portioned up the veggie chilli from last night. I kept one out for my lunch and put 8 more in the freezer. I prefer to portion them singly in case I want to do a meal for just me. Thinking about it, it's very good value for money. I used 3 tins of beans (red, black, chickpeas) plus some HM butter beans along with some carrots, onion, tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and a pepper.  Even if that lot came to £2.70 (which I don't think it did) then it's 30p a portion plus the rice or a JP to serve it with. So that's healthy, mse and on plan. What's not to like! 😁

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
    L- JP (F), veggie chilli (P,S), cottage cheese (P)
D- roast lamb (P), SW roast potatoes (F), carrots, BNS, greens, cauli, red cabbage, swede & carrot mash (S)
Syns- HM gravy 4?, weekend wine😋

There's not normally LO chips here either!  I wouldn't have normally done chips with pasta but I'd already prepped them before DH decided he'd rather have pasta bake than have the sloppy joe's in rolls!  Having said that when DH has had chip shop chips he usually orders a large portion and always has some LO which he reheats in the Remoska the following morning.

We did go out shopping after all in case DH decides he's going to stick with Rum and Coke rather than his usual beer - he's actually sticking with SW at the moment.  He told me he jumped on the scales this morning (naughty, naughty!) and has lost 2.5lb since Friday am WI!  How has he managed that when he has more syns than me?  Seems so unfair.

I'm with you on the roast lamb maman, if it's not near WI day then that's the time to have it.  I really like a slow roasted lamb shoulder from time to time but not had that for a while.

Certainly not cold enough for heating here, even though we're Southern Softies. 🤣 I am planning to make some stew tomorrow though.

Food looks good, as always bubbs. It's strange though that I can enjoy swede and carrot mash but just hate swede on its own.

klew STS in star week is a good result - it would probably have been a small loss in a normal week!  You're doing the right thing by drawing the line and getting straight back on plan.

Bit annoyed with the weather forecast on BBC this morning - it looked like we'd be dry until early afternoon so put on a machine load of washing and before it had even finished it had started raining so now in the dryer - not worth putting on the airer as there are towels in the load which would be too big to go on!

    Today's plan:

B - breakfast hash - 5% pork mince, onion, mushrooms, tomatoes, LO potatoes, peppers, topped with a couple of fried eggs - P; S; F
L - haslet and salad wholemeal roll - HEB; 6.5
    D - butternut squash and chickpea curry, rice - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - WM roll
    Syns - 50g haslet 3.5; 2 tsp Lurpak Softest 3

Am trying to stick completely to plan this week with weighing a week earlier than originally planned!  I thought it was this week but when I checked my calendar it should have been next week but never mind it is what it is!

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all!  Hope your DH is feeling better soon bubbs.  I think the new company shop is a little too far for me to go maman, but hopefully they'll open one a bit closer soon!

Had a nice day out on Friday even if it was torrential rain!  Managed to get the running shoes I was after for about 60% RRP which wasn't too bad (tried them out this morning and they're so comfortable!) and picked up a dress and some new socks while I was out.  Went to a friend's house for dinner on Saturday and it was lovely to sit in their garden and eat some nice food (chicken in white wine and mushroom sauce with fondant potatoes and leeks, followed by strawberries from their garden with ice cream 😋).  Had a chilled day yesterday which was very much needed!

Happy to report a 3.5lb loss this week 🤯  Seems that I'm maintaining and then losing over the last couple of months.  Not going to complain because I'm back in the stone bracket I haven't seen in about 9 months!  "Celebrated" with scrambled eggs on toast with some smoked salmon trimmings and fresh pineapple on the side for breakfast.  Lunch is a chicken salad and dinner is going to be stuffed peppers with some salad leaves on the side.

    Hope everyone is staying dry!

That's an excellent loss ruby. Delighted for you! 😊

I have a feed from the local paper on my phone and was delighted when I saw the news about the Company shop. Good to know they're coming down south. Glad your shopping trip went well.

I've often said that losing weight doesn't fall into neat 7 day chunks.

Pleased you STS too klew. I'm sure if you have a good week you can balance off what you had over the weekend. Treats are built into SW, just not too many too often. 😉 Thanks for the heads up on the stewed steak last week. I'm definitely going to get some tins in the cupboard.

I had the opposite problem yesterday denise. The forecast said rain (so didn't put the WM on) but it stayed dry all day except for one small shower. My washing basket is getting fuller and fuller but I've decided to leave it all until Wednesday when there's a big shining sun on the forecast!

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash (F), fried eggs, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold meat (P), fried veg and pickles (S)
D- baked haddock (P), mash (F), green stuff, tomatoes and mushrooms.
    Syns- 0

We're forecast another dry day tomorrow but we will see!  If it is dry I may well do our bedding tomorrow having now done the motorhome bedding but will wait and see what it's actually like in the morning before stripping the bed!  It can last another day or two if necessary!

I did a machine load yesterday as well, most of which dried although needed to finish off a few bits in the dryer.  Wednesday is also looking OK, in fact a bit better than tomorrow so may well leave the washing until then!

Enjoyed the haslet roll at lunchtime but not very filling!  Have had a jelly with some yoghurt and will probably have some fruit shortly - bought a watermelon which is now ripe so have chopped some up (about 1/4 so still masses left).  I weighed it before I chopped it and it weight just over 5.5 kilos (12lb +).  Think it might last a little while!
