Well done on your pound jax, it's a good feeling when you do better than expected. 👏👏👏

I just weighed 😇 a HEA of cheese to put the top of our hash. Just one (30g grated Cheddar from freezer) is plenty between the two of us. I think the extra HEA is the best change SW have made. Probably the only one, ever. 🤔🤣

    Evening,
Well done losers.  It's a nice start to the slimming year to see the plan working.

It actually did seem quieter on our high street this afternoon.  Car park is still quite full though, which is very unlike the last lockdown, so I think a lot of people are working still.  Quite frankly I think if they want to really stop the spread and prevent the NHS being overwhelmed, they should do a full-on lockdown like we had last March (plus I liked being furloughed ;) )  but seriously, only then did people actually seem to stay home.  We had no traffic on the road, no aircraft etc.  and everyone seemed to respect the rules.

Busy day at work, but I stayed on plan:
B - porridge HEB, milk from HEA with water & skinny syrup
    L - scrambled eggs on toast 6.5
snack - SF jelly (0.5), mango & ff nat yogurt
D - LO lasagne (2 for sauce) with celery, cucumber, tomatoes & peppers.  Salad cream (2)
    Total syns = 11

As nice as the scrambled eggs were, and they were filling too, I think the bread made me feel really sluggish and sleepy in the afternoon, so if I have eggs again during the day, I will just do some bacon and mushrooms with it instead.  I was on the phone while making my lunch, so it was quick and easy to do at the time.

One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home

    Hi all,

@sarymclary I’m also finding bread makes me feel sluggish, 6 months ago I loved bread – but I do feel noticeably different now if I have it. That’s why having just a bowl of soup is difficult, @bubbs I really had to wean myself off the fact that it wasn’t soup and sandwich! That’s why I have something to pick at like boiled eggs or ham or chicken when im having soup and I will gradually wean myself off this. We will see what happens.

Lunch is soup and chicken and few little pickled onions, tonight is gammon steak, BP and roasted veg. not really snacking this week, sometimes the danger zone is between dog walk tonight and my dinner cooking so I have some chicken in the fridge but I tend to busy myself with housework to keep occupied!

  • No wonder you are hungry, that is a snack using your hex A and B, that is not a meal! have 1/3 speed plate of food, pasta, rice, potato, and protein 'free'!

@jabbababba28 - I notice that you a new poster.  If you'd been reading the whole thread, and previous threads you would know that bubbs is a very long term SW target member and knows the plan inside out!  Yesterday's food was not how she would normally eat.  I suggest you go back and look at the size of most of of her meals and you will see that she eats very few carbs and masses of Speed foods!  I think your post is quite rude when you don't know the full facts!

After my rant!  Service back to normal!  Another horrible, drizzly day here - washing is going to have to wait until tomorrow - just hope the weather is as forecast tomorrow so that I can get it dry!

    Today's plan:

B - scrambled eggs and spinach on toast, plus 1/2 slice with marmalade - HEB; P; S; 2.5
    L - creamy leek and barley soup; - P; S; F; 1.5
    D - beef in black bean sauce with noodles - P; S; F; 2

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - tsp butter 2; tsp marmalade 0.5; 50 ml coconut milk 1.5; 50ml black bean sauce 2

That means that I actually have syns to spare this week for a change!!!

Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

  • I was trying to be helpful not rude?! lots of people don't know the plan and end up eating snacks instead of meals which is what makes the plan work. apologies and thanks for the welcome
