ruby we've only just joined NT because of holidaying in the UK this year (we joined NT Scotland because it's quite a bit cheaper - very MSE!).  It's just £7.30 a month as we are Seniors (only one needs to be over 60) otherwise it's £9.30 a month, I think - today would have cost us £13 each for entry so in 4 months' payments we will have just covered today's outing!  There are lots of places we can easily get to within an hour of so of where we live.  Hoping we can find some places near where we're going on holiday as we will need to get there on the scooter or walking as once the motorhome is parked up we don't tend to move it!  We're planning on going back again later in the year when the gardens will look completely different and of course the house should be open too, which it wasn't today.

In July we're taking the motorhome to the next county for a long weekend so we are planning on going to another NT place and that one would be £10 each.  With just those 2 places that will virtually cover the cost of membership for the year so think it's well worth it.

Definitely didn't need all my lunch so have managed to save 10.5 syns as didn't eat the ham sandwich.  Just ate a scotch egg and the minted courgette frittata and a banana so just one syn!  Will have the ham sandwich tomorrow unless DH eats it later!

Lunch sounds lovely. We’re in The NT.....it pays for itself over and over during a usual year.

Definitely get your DH to eat the sandwich denise! 😁 Far better than starting next week with 10.5 syns down. 😉 We're NT members too. And just before lockdown we joined English Heritage as well (Groupon offer) but not been able to use that yet. We get more than our moneys worth most years. We've visited a few gardens in the past year and even one house that did a one way system as an experiment. We'll definitely start visiting regularly again when the houses open properly. We do sometimes have lunch in the cafes as I can often get a JP.

It's gloriously sunny and quite hot here too bubbs. that was very resourceful of you with the mirror cloth. I thought it was going to be something worse than mud! 🤣

I haven't checked but I probably have 30 syns left unused. This is deliberate to try really hard to be in or around target before I have to go to WI. I'm thinking of doing the same thing next week (just thinking at the moment😉). Has anyone heard anything definite about groups next week? IIRC last time we came out of lockdown we had to go to an actual  WI ASAP. 🤔

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
    L- LO casserole (P,S,F) with beetroot (S)
D- baked hake (P), roasted vegetables, TS broccoli (S), mini roasts (F)
    Syns- 0

Had a message from my new consultant and she's back in venue from next week but says I don't need to go to group if I don't want to I can continue to send my weight so that's what I'm going to do next week as that's my last WI before my holiday.  Hopefully I'll be within target range.

So have you booked the weeks off as a SW holiday? Not trying to jinx you but what if you're just out of target?  I'm trying hard to lose but I was 1lb over at the end start of the last lockdown and feel much the same.
Ideally I'd weigh next Thursday, be in range and then have 8 weeks to enjoy restaurants being open! 🤣
Fingers crossed we're both successful. 🤞

No holidays booked but if necessary I might just cheat if I'm just out of target and say I'm bang on top end of target as I'm just texting!  Having said that each week when I've had to text my weight I have been within target range so as long as I stick with it next week I should be within range anyway.  I've only been out of target by less than a lb between WIs throughout lockdown so no reason to think it will be any worse than that.

I suspect I'll be out of target range when I come back so it will be a few weeks before I actually need to go to a group for WI.

    Morning all,

Lovely night last night, met up with a childhood friend who I hadn’t seen for a while before the pandemic even started, had a cuddle with my horse and a walk with my dog in between the showers. Really nice evening.

Raced home to make last nights gousto choice of bangers and mash, was the best one yet, the next is veg packed pasta

Used to love a national trust visit @joedenise

B – fruit and fibre – ss milk

L – ham eggs beans mushrooms – something like that anyway!

D – LO bangers and mash
