Thanks bubbs - I've got to go to Morrisons tomorrow so I'll get my mushrooms there instead of Mr Ts!

Morning all, weather not looking too bad.  A bit cloudy but quite warm.  Washing done and already out on the line, so that's it until next week!

Will be leaving shortly to go shopping after dropping DH at the golf club.  Got to go to butchers as run out of low fat sausages and down to 2 low fat burgers so need to get more.  Also need to buy more eggs as not got enough left to take with us so that means a visit to the farm shop as well.

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs & spinach on toast - HEB; P; S
    L - Mac 'n' cheese; salad - HEA2; S; F
    D - chicken chasseur, mustard mash - P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheddar cheese
    Syns - cornflour 0.5; mustard 0.5

    Have a good day everyone.

Trying to still keep the cals down and fingers and toes crossed for the weekend weigh in, its helping me control the portions

Morning all!  Had a lovely weekend away at the caravan - did a lot of walking and spent a lot of time on the coast.  We even drove down to Dover to walk along the cliffs and saw one of the Disney cruise ships parked up in the harbour.  Food was a bit all over the place but not thinking too much about it.  Star week also arrived on Sunday so was definitely a bit more bloated than normal on Monday and it showed on the scales with a 4lb gain.  But back on track with food this week, upping my water and continuing with the workouts.

Breakfast today was ff greek yogurt with strawberries and blueberries.  Lunch is going to  be a chicken salad with tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, onion etc (prepped enough to last me the week) and dinner is going to be bolognese stuffed peppers topped with cheese.

Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

So pleased you had a good weekend ruby. It's not a real gain so you should soon see it off. 😊

Cutting back on carbs like that is sort of what SW advise with SP to boost weightloss klew. I've only ever had SP days by accident but I do try hard to eat as much Speed as I can. My first consultant used to recommend plating up the vegetables first so there's little room left for carbs. Bubbs eats hardly any carbs because of her diabetes.  These plates are a good, We often used to have them as raffle prizes at group.
    Portion Plate (27cm) – Multi – Matalan

You don't need to buy one, it just gives a good guide. 😊

I think all you have to be careful of is that you don't feel hungry or deprived and then sabotage yourself.  😊

Do you just stir mustard into the mash denise? I thought it might make a change from chips with gammon. 🤔

We've got painters in (or rather outside) and all the windows and doors are open so wrapped up warm here. I've gone back to a winter jumper! 🤣

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- lentil and veg soup (P,S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes, peas (F), cauli, broccoli, cabbages, carrots (S)
    Syns- HP sauce 1

    Good afternoon everyone,

Glad you had a nice break ruby :)
Well done to the losers and STS'ers. Will be weighing on Friday morning as usual but know I've gained this week as can feel it.

Bit of a grey day here and due rain later. DH and I are going to A!di after work. Despite getting food shopping delivered the past 3 weekends (as had no car) we have run out of so much stuff. Think it's because I do the online shop in a rush rather than sitting and planning, and there are 5 of us including 3 young folk with hollow legs. Today we have run out of cheese - this is a big deal for DH and the children - so will rectify that tonight.

    Food today:
    B - 2 satsumas, croissant (!) - 9 syns
L - roasted stuffed peppers with savoury rice
    D - chicken and pesto pasta - 4 syns
    HEXA1 - milk
    HEXA2 - parmesan
    HEXB - benefit bar x 2
    Snacks - pineapple, apple
    Total syns planned - 13

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Maman - for the mustard mash I just add a tsp of dijon mustard to the drained potatoes, add a bit of stock and an egg and then mash together.

Change of plan for lunch!  As DH was out at the golf club I decided to swap lunch over with what we were supposed to be having tomorrow!  So today it was the LO mini meatloaf with salad.  We both enjoyed the meatloaf more today than last night.  They were definitely a bit dry but as I said yesterday it was my fault for not adding the egg.  It's definitely something I'll make again and think I will try freezing some to see how they are after defrosting but think I'd only have them cold as reheating may well dry them out too much.

Glad you have a good weekend ruby.  At least you had nice weather.

I managed to get some mini portobello mushrooms this morning so am going to use them rather than chestnut mushrooms for the stroganoff tomorrow night.

I've never managed to get everything when I've done an online shop.  I much prefer to sort out my shopping list and then shop for it and if something isn't available I can just get something else but with online if it's not available the chances are they'll substitute something ridiculous!  At least they did with my first ever online order so I've always said no substitutions on the odd occasion I've ordered online.

Coxy seeing the stuff roasted peppers on your menu reminds me that I ought to put them on the menu plan again.  The only problem is we can only have them when we're at home as the oven in the motorhome isn't good enough so very rarely gets used!  We also have to go without toast so breakfasts can be interesting!  I really enjoy things like scrambled eggs on toast so have to go without that.
