bubbs - with the kippers you could have scrambled eggs & spinach. Or have a pescatarian full English by substituting the kippers for bacon. Personally I can't stand them but my DH loves them and is quite happy to eat them on their own with a slice of bread and butter.
maman quite often has kippers but not noticed what she has with them! I'm sure she'll be along later.

You've done it again bubbs! Amazing prices.😁
I just have a piece of dry toast or bread and butter with kippers. I can't think of anything I'd want to eat with them as i's quite a rich/strong flavour. If it's not enough then I'd suggest fruit and yogurt afterwards.
I decided soup wouldn't be enough for my lunch so had sardines and beetroot as well! 😋1 -
Thanks both 😁
Maman i walked the aisles as lots of reductions at the minute in asda and mine is only an ex netto so smalli also got some boxed lavender naturals soap, be nice in a hamper with all toiletries 25p!!

We have one of those Netto/Asda places nearby but I rarely go there as we have 2 large Asdas within a couple of miles as well. I want to go out tomorrow (got cabin fever) so maybe try there for a change. 🤔1

Morning all. Weather not too bad this morning but certainly not warm and bright. We've got blue sky so hopefully we'll get some sun later. Going away again but not until after lunch as site isn't open until 2pm.
Not sure how much I'll post over the weekend as suspect I won't be entirely on plan! We're away for 5 nights so not much chance of a loss this week I don't think but almost certainly a gain! I jumped on the scales this morning and am amazed to see that not only am I in target but I am 1.5lb instead top end so that means a loss of 2lb from weighing last week when I was out of target.
Today's plan:
B - baked oats, mixed frozen fruit, yoghurt - HEB; S; F
L - golden Mac 'n' cheese; salad - HEA2; P; S; F (recipe from SW website)
D - goat curry, rice - P; S; F
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - oats
Syns - probably rum & ginger beers
Have a good day and weekend everyone.

Hello, good morning all,
Bright here too denise - hope you have a good time away and whoohoo to being inside target. That gives you some leeway for wine or other naughties!!
I love kippers bubbs but the smell!
Went to A!di last night and spent £178!! The trolley was overflowing and lost a few items on the way to the car (because I am a nice shopper and pack at my car instead of at the till like the selfish so and sos do!). Freezers and snack cupboard now fully stocked up = happy teens.
Have been for a 5k run this morning and managed a PB of 30:41 which is amazing. I took myself off for a nice lavender bath salts bath last night and went to bed at 9.45pm. Slept really well too.
Have a hellish day today with two committees to take minutes at. One new one this after with a bunch of statisticians - gawd knows whether I will make sense of what they say !!
Food today:
B - grilled bacon, poached egg, tomatoes, mushrooms
L - chicken satay sticks, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles (is anyone able to check the satay syns for me please? They are the Crestwood chicken satay skewers from A!di - TIA xx)
D - SW chicken, potato and kale bake
Snacks - melon, satsumas
HEXB - benefit bars x 2
HEXA - milk
Syns - satay??
Have a great day everyone,

coxy well done of a PB for your 5K run, that's amazing. I hate running, didn't even like it when I was growing up but I'm happy to walk.
You're right about having a bit of leeway for the weekend away with our boozy friends - we always drink more when we meet up with them! Supposed to be meeting up with them again next weekend for a meal, assuming the restaurant still allows motorhomes to overnight there like they did pre-pandemic.
Looked up the chicken skewers for you and they are 7 syns per 100g pack. No idea how many there are in the pack so assuming it's to be split then syns wouldn't be too bad.

Well done Denise.I’m with Beanie - bleugh to kippers. My mum used to love them but the smell in th house afterwards.....but I don’t like the smell of any fish. I’ve never actually tried them so might like them... but can’t get past the smell 😏 I used to be the diet chef at a hospital. I hated early morning starts when you went in the kitchen at 6 am and kippers were on. That was in the days when hospital food was cooked from scratch and used to be ok.....well it was when it left the kitchen - not sure what it was like by the time it got to the ward.😏
Some good bargains there from Asda 👍
I made my stew into a cheese cobbler last night. I only had one small scone just to satisfy a craving so well within syns 👍 I had a lovely milky coffee as part of my a choice, mid afternoon as a treat and attempt to stop grazing....it worked 😀
Today breakfast - heb barmcake with bacon and tomato
dinner - left over stew with tiny cobbler 3 syns
tea.....to be decided depending on what we do as dh is at homeJanuary spends - £587.581
