Hi everyone,
A quick hop on the scales this morning and I've put on 2lb since Friday, which given I've walked 25k in that time is more than devastating. Also means I'm over into the next stone bracket again. I need to get my head back in the game this week as it's star week next week too
No running this morning - will go tomorrow.
Food today will be:
B - poached eggs on wm toast - HEXB
L - smoked peppered mackerel, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles - 3 syns
D - spaghetti with hm tomato sauce, parmesan - HEXA1
HEXA2 - milk
Snacks - kiwi, satsumas, apple
Syns planned - 3
Have a good day everyone,
Coxy

Morning all,
So after the disaster of the swollen leg and copious weight gain the scales said this week I had lost 6 pounds… in reality I actually lost 1.5! just goes to show what swelling and water retention can do!
I did a nice 5.5 miles on Saturday and I was very hot when I got back in so im hoping sweat is pounds!
Yesterday I was dewintering the gardening and weeding and sorting the shed. Im not great weeding on knees as I have a ‘bad’ knee so did not factor a long walk for yesterday. Was a lovely day and maybes walked 2 ish miles. Ate cheese and biscuits but didn’t really have an evening meal so hoping things evened out from that.
B – granola and ss milk
L – Heinz tom soup
D – chicken stir fry and noodles

You were right about the water retention and then some klew. Well done on your loss.👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I'm sure that 2lbs gain isn't permanent coxy, it has to be something to do with all the exercise. Getting back on plan will help. You want to see that figure again. 😊
Funnily enough, I was desperate for new socks when the shops reopened denise. All of mine were going thin at the heels. I think it must be all the walking during lockdown. 🤣
I cooked more brown rice for the freezer earlier as I find having my own microwave pouches so much easier. I've also put some butter beans to soak as I realised I've run out of tinned ones. Tonight's casserole will just have to have chick peas instead.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), bacon, 2 eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- cold pork (P), 1 potato (F) fried veg and pickles (S)
D- chicken casserole (P,S,F) with greens (S)
Syns- cornflour 12 -
Couldn't get any T-shirts or socks this morning! Went to Matalan and it looks like they've closed down! Will have to have a look online or I might leave it until we go to Canterbury in a couple of weeks time as there is more choice there than there is where we went this morning. I'm not exactly desperate it's just I'd like some more black socks - I've got loads of white ones but don't really wear them! I definitely need some more otherwise when we go away for a long holiday I'm going to have to find a launderette more often!
How long do you cook your butterbeans for maman? Last time I cooked some they all burst so weren't very nice. Never have the same problem with cooking chickpeas.

I haven't cooked butter beans from scratch for years so I'm experimenting. When I could get tins cheaply I don't bother but they've steadily gone up in price. I've put some in the slow cooker and others I'm soaking to cook tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on. 😊
I buy socks in TK Maxx. I like bamboo ones, really soft.Bubbs is late with her tea. 🤔1 -
We haven't got a TK Maxx in any of the local big towns! I only really get to one if we visit my friend but obviously we haven't been able to recently other than in the garden so not been to her town to go around the shops! Chances are she'll have moved by the time we get to visit her again. She's sold her flat and the buyer bought it to rent out and as her house isn't going to be available until end June she is now renting her own flat! All seems a bit weird but the buyer was desperate to buy the flat before the Stamp Duty holiday at the end of March.
