    Morning all,

For all I have been good, the scales did not reflect that, however I have quite a swollen leg at the moment, it has a bit of metal work in and for some reason it is swollen. It is not sore, other than it aches because it is swollen and the sock is tight. I honestly think this could have something to do with the scales. Could I be right? I had a pedicure on Saturday and the lady really massaged it well so some of the swelling has gone down. I continued to be fairly good on the diet over the weekend, I went for breakfast with a friend yesterday morning and a short walk, I had a BLT on wholemeal whereas before I probably would have had bacon and sausage on white.

    Todays menu

    Granola SS milk

Heniz tomato soup flatbread with salady bits

    Gammon steak BP and veg

I wouldn't worry what the scales are saying at the moment klew, best to take a view over the month as your weight goes up and down like a yo-yo throughout the day.  If you've had a good week it will probably show on the scales next week.

Enjoy your long weekend away this coming weekend ruby.  We're going away again from Thursday to Sunday but will be taking food with us so at least that will be on plan.  Will probably be drinking wine though as meeting up with friends who drink like fish!  We always end up drinking more than we ought to so it'll be damage limitation again next week!

I'm feeling envious about these trips away. The forecast is really good for the rest of the week at least. 😊

It could be your swollen leg klew that's having an effect on weight. I'm assuming fluid must have something to do with it. I know it suits SW to work on weekly classes and WIs but weightloss doesn't conform like that. If I look back at my records in my book it goes up and down with lots of STS in between. Over time though, following the plan shows results.😊

Great news about the clean jeans test denise.😁

I'm making turkey burgers tonight as part of my mission to shift stuff from the freezer. The recipe is adapted but is basically turkey mince, couscous and spices.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), bacon, fried eggs (P), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S) maybe 1 potato left (F)
D- turkey burgers (P,F), SW chips (F), broccoli, creamy cabbage with HEA2, tomato
    Syns- 0

We've just been having a look for somewhere to go for the bank holiday weekend beginning of May and think we've found somewhere fairly local which we'll probably go to (well it's in Kent anyway!).  It's somewhere we've been before and it's a nice walk into the small town with several bars and cafes although unfortunately not all of them have outdoor space so won't be as much choice as usual, and that's assuming none of them have actually gone out of business over the last year.

Was going to make a chicken tagine tomorrow but in the end decided to get out another Kg of goat so it will be a goat tagine.  Hoping to get about 4 meals from it (got 5 from the Kg as curry but don't think the tagine will stretch as far but who knows by the time I've added extra veg which isn't in the recipe!).

Need to completely rejig my menu plan for next week as some of the meals I've planned in aren't really suitable for cooking in the motorhome!  Really don't fancy cooking a seafood risotto in it - the smell always seems to hang around so will find something to cook on the BBQ instead, even if it's just burgers and onions!

Off to do a freezer inventory to see what I've got that would be OK to cook in the motorhome next weekend.

    Hi everyone,
Glad you had a nice break denise.
TIE - thinking of you and DH.
klew - hope your leg improves soon. So frustrating when the scales don't reflect our good work. Stick with it.

Late update from me today as have the day from hell at work, taking minutes at two long, tetchy meetings. I now have to tidy them up (I type them as people are speaking) and make them make sense! Have a to do list as long as my arm.

Took kiwi, melon and a benefit bar to DS1s house yesterday so felt quite virtuous when DH was tucking into choc biccies. We had a lovely piece of beef from MrA for dinner. Family shared a treacle tart from MrW and I washed up as didn't want to get tempted.

    Today's food:

    B - weetabix, skimmed milk - HEXB/HEXA1
L - cottage cheese with pineapple, salad leaves, tomatoes, pickles
D - pasta with parmesan, salad leaves, tomatoes - HEXA2
Snacks - satsumas, melon, kiwi, apple, benefit bar - 3 syns
    Total syns - 3

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy
