Evening,
This talk of jelly has reminded me I should make a bowl for my lunches, as I absolutely love the stuff.
Day 5 fully on plan. Go me!
B - porridge HEB with splash of milk & water, skinny syrup & cinnamon
L - 2 chicken thighs chopped up with celery, tomatoes, cucumber & pickled onions, dressing (2)
D - stir fry chinese pork, mixed stir fry veg & rice
I was so busy at work I didn't have time to have the snacks I'd taken in, so a very low syn day. Probably no bad thing if I get peckish over the weekend, I've got some in the 'bank'.One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

Light mayo is 2 syns per Tbs! That's gone up since I last checked. I'm sure it only used to be 1 Syn per Tbs! I always use Lighter than Light which is 0.5 syns (even the SM own brand ones).Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance:0 -
Morning all
Been off plan last couple of days, I hurt my smallest toe on New years day, walked into a chair, and I assumed I had just stubbed it and it would be fine. It stayed hurt and was painful to walk on for a few days so I thought I'd get it checked out. Turned out its broken, so its now taped to the one next to it and I need to rest it as much as I can, so I spent Thursday lay on the sofa feeling sorry for myself with a tin of Roses. I didn't finish the tin (which I'm counting as a win). Felt like rubbish on Friday after letting myself slip, so gave my head a wobble and got back on plan.
In work today so breakfast is some easy peelers and yoghurt (they easy peelers needed eating so quick and easy breakfast for work) Lunch is a chicken salad wrap and super speed soup and dinner tonight is going to be chicken breast with carrot and swede mash, cabbage and mixed veg.
:AWhatever it is - I didn't do it!:A1 -
Morning all. That sounds painful Jax. Hope it heals soon. That sounds like an SP day today (as long as your yoghurt was a synned one). That should help your weight loss.
DH has decided he wants a chippy dinner tonight so I am going to be good and weigh out 100g of chips and remove the batter from the fish. So today's plan:
B - fry up - sausages, egg, mushrooms, tomato, beans, HM hash brown - P; S; F; 2
L - tuna and cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S
D - chippy fish & chips followed by jelly & yoghurt - P; 6.5 (chips); 0.5 (jelly)
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - sausages 2; chips 6.5; jelly 0.5

Ouch! to your toe jax. Well done for getting back on plan after the Roses incident. 😉
I had thought of having fish and chips over the Christmas break denise but it didn't happen. It's so long since I had any I don't know which local chippy is the best to go to. I think you're being very strong to limit yourself. I think I'd do what kathrynha recommended and eat some off the top of the batter and leave the soggy bottom! Enjoy! 😋 If restaurants haven't opened again by the time my birthday comes round in March then maybe I'll have a fish supper then. 🤔
We're having pork for dinner tomorrow and I was wondering about the crackling. Does anyone take it off before cooking? 🤔 It's so tempting after it's cooked that I can rarely resist picking at it a bit. I thought if I cut it off first then maybe it would be easier and less fat in the meat juices to go into the gravy. Any views?
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- veggie omelette (P,S) beetroot (S)
D- chicken jambalaya (P,S,F)
Syns- weekend wine😊1 -

Jax sorry about your toebut roses yummy!! 😋 hope you enjoyed them 🤣🤣
Maman i always cook with the rind on, dh always has the crackle i don't , my teeth are more important 😂Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1 -
We've got pork tomorrow too maman. DH would never forgive me if there wasn't any crackling! I always have a very small piece but don't syn it (I know I should but it's such a small piece I doubt it's more than a syn anyway). DH saves me from my self by eating the rest! I also think the meat would dry out without the rind on to be honest.
I did weigh the chips and 100g isn't actually that bad really, obviously not as many as I'd have of my HM ones but enough with a large piece of cod - I just give DH all the batter. I doesn't bother me not eating it as I just find it a bit greasy, even though it's usually been drained pretty well. I got there a couple of minutes too early to collect tonight so the fish wasn't quite ready so it was actually a bit soggy on the underside because it didn't really have time to drain!
The chippy's been there since the 1940s apparently. The old man retired about 2 years ago and since his son took over the fish and chips has been much better. We didn't use to go to that chippy when the old man was running it and used to go to the one a bit further away but that went downhill a few years ago so until a couple of years ago we hadn't had a fish dinner for about 5 years. It's certainly not something we have regularly.

Evening,
Glad I had fish for my dinner tonight, because you telling us about your fish and chip supper would have made me want oneI could do with the syn value for my fish though, it's MrT's own yellow fin sole in lemon & parsley dusting. I chose them because the fat/calorie (0.5 saturated/155 cals) value was the lowest of the 'coated' frozen fish.
OH brought me breakfast in bed this morning, bless him, and did say if I didn't want to eat it he didn't mind, but I can't waste food, so that dictated what I'd be eating for the rest of the day really.
B - 2 slices WM toast HEB (+5.5) & jam (2)
snack - chicken thigh
L - bacon, eggs, tomato, beans
snack - banana
D - yellow fin sole fillet (3.5) with mash, cauliflower, carrots, peas & broccoli, gravy (1)
HEA1 - milk in teas/coffees
I did a bit of gardening all afternoon until it got dark, so was at least moving about, and I reckon just trying to stay warm out there burnt a few extra calories today. One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I always cook pork with the crackle on. My dh would consider it nearly grounds for divorce if I deprived him of his crackle 😂😂😂 I always have a small piece just so I’ve tasted it. He finishes the rest.
I did zoom this morning- Dh set me up, I pressed something and lost everything.....I was ready for a meltdown- computers really do stress me out - it’s the first time I’ve felt like tears for a long time 🙄 Anyway he sorted me out again.....it was nice seeing the faces but I’m not convinced it’s for me. I’ll give it another go though.I weighed in this morning and I’d lost 2 lb. I put it in the app and it congratulated me on loosing 10 lb 👍😂😄 All my old records are still on there....I’ll take that THANKYOU very muchly 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Breakfast - porridge with pears 6 syns
Dinner - heb wholemeal barmcake, low fat spread 1 syn, roast beef, salad 1/2 bag ready salted crisps 3 1/2 syns
Tea - jacket, chicken based pizza with hea cheese ( I’ve never done this before it was delicious)salad
snacks - small snickers bar 5 syns
I've gone slightly over syns today but stayed within them the rest of the week so all is well
Hope your toe improves JJanuary spends - £587.582 -
Well done milann, whether it's 2lb or 10 it's a good loss. 👏👏👏
Your fish is only 3.5 sary, so that's good news. 😁
It seems I'll be leaving the crackling on the pork so will just need to be stronger. 😉
