Lidl was pretty well stocked when I went there on Tuesday morning, certainly had everything I wanted to get from there.

Didn't have the cheese on the jacket/beans at lunchtime in the end so can have the Primula Light as part HEA2 so saving a couple of syns!

I got everything I wanted in Morrison’s yesterday but there were a few empty spaces and ther seemed to be carrots in quite a few places whereas they’re only usual in one space. So we presumed they were spreading things about to make the stalls look full.
I’ve had a very lazy day here. It’s very icy and my get up and go has well and truly got up and gone.
We decided on a SW breakfast fry up for brunch. 1 syn for a sausage. Heb toast.
We watched The Queens Gambit on Netflix. I can’t play chess but still enjoyed the story.
I had a hifi bar as a snack 3 syns. I’ve not had one for ages so it hit the spot 👍
Tea will be actifry chips, steak - there was a lot on offer yesterday when I went shopping - I’m guessing because the suppliers can’t sell to restaurants. Along with mushroom, onion and tomato. I’ve made a sugar free jelly 1/2 syn and will have satsuma and a squirt of low fat squirt cream.
I’ve still got syns if I fancy anything later 😄

milann We watched The Queen's Gambit a while ago and agree it was a good story - I used to "sort of" play chess when I was a tweenager (about 10-12) but no idea whether we were playing properly or not but my brother and I used to enjoy it.

What's a rye sausage - never heard of them?  I keep forgetting about sugar free jelly - I've got some crystals in the cupboard.  Must think about making at some point!

Glad you managed to get all your fruit and veg maman.  Nothing worse than not being able to get our Speed foods!

Sorry bubbs only just seen your post.

Light mayo is 2 syns per Tbs!  That's gone up since I last checked.  I'm sure it only used to be 1 Syn per Tbs!  I always use Lighter than Light which is 0.5 syns (even the SM own brand ones).

@sarymclary the oil spillage sounds awful! Your poor garden!
@maman that is lucky managing to get someone to look at your boiler Christmas eve! We had a problem with the boiler (unrelated) about a week before Christmas and couldn't even get people to look at it, half didn't call back, those who did said nah thanks sounds like too much work :open_mouth:

Oil update - the filter was solid ice, so that has been thawed, and pipe before ground blown through, but it's still not getting to the boiler and cooker... I'm not sure if it's a try the hairdryer on a lower section of the pipe or hope it warms up a bit out? Though it must be getting warmer I'm in my studio at the moment and the radiator out here has made it above 19degrees today for the first time in days  Some family have lent us an electric heater thing for in the bedroom so fingers crossed the bedroom end of the house will be a bit warmer tonight! Problem with a bungalow, the heat from the fire in the lounge doesn't get near the bedrooms.

Breakfast - toast HEB and biscoff spread which I think is 5syns
Lunch - the worlds laziest chicken noodle soup
Dinner - cottage pie HEA Cheese
Syns - pufts 3.5, blackforest hifi - 3 (I'm down to the last one

I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....

Joedenise it was a typo and spell checker made up it’s own version of events 😂😂😂😂. I’ve corrected it now 👍 So it shouldn’t have said ‘rye sausage’ but ‘a sausage’. 😂😂😂😂
Orange jelly was lovely with a satsuma and squirt of cream 👍

Yes  pixtotts we were really lucky to get someone out on Christmas Eve. What was irritating was that we'd just switched our energy supplier to a new fix (as early as possible on Martin's advice) and the previous one which ran to the end of January had boiler cover. DH was given local phone numbers by British Gas and thankfully found a guy who came out. We did pay a premium but not too bad and definitely worth it.

Saying about the problem with a bungalow, reminded me of my childhood home where my bedroom was lovely and warm because I had the chimney breast above the sitting room fire. 😊

Really enjoyed our KFC dinner. DH really loves the creamy cabbage as an alternative to garlic mushrooms. Feeling quite full now. 😉
