I'm imagining you in a pair of Dame Edna glasses bubbs! 🤣 Hope you find your proper pair soon.
Wot no lunch? 🤔
I've never done anything but a syn bank denise. I really don't want 15 a day. I'm happy with my low syn meals and I'd be just thinking up ways of using them. Then, come the weekend, I'd be miserable having to limit myself. Of course, I do limit myself to an extent but not to 15. I know it's tweaking but it's how I've made it work for me. Thank goodness we're all different. 😊
I watched the How to Lose Weight Well programme last night where they try different diets. It was different from usual (probably because of Covid) but it always shows how restricted some diets are and how hard people find it to lose weight. I'm so pleased I found a system that works for me.😁1 -
We have had no snow either
Glad jab went well, i specifically asked my sister if they gave her a date for 2nd and she said yes 3rd March , so if she gets it or not is a different matter😏Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1 -
I've found trying to stick to 15 a day really hard maman that's why I'm probably going to go back to the syn bank! As you say I'm looking to use syns as my meals are generally low syn or syn free which is why I seem to be having a drink or two most days! Only time I really struggle is if I open a bottle of wine and DH doesn't want to share - I find it difficult to stop after 3 small glasses, LOL! It's why I'm having a couple of rums tonight to use up the syns.
I think I would have struggled to stick with a diet. I haven't seen the programme but have seen previous ones where they try different diets and definitely wouldn't want to do anything other than SW!

Some good losses this week, well done all, I find out tomorrow, however, even if is not as much as I would like, slow loser, I feel much better so will definitely have an nsv which will be a good morale booster anyway.
For some reason was very hungry today, I think because I am now back in work routine, my body has suddenly realised that my eating times over Christmas were different, I was having a late breakfast and then dinner about 5-5:30, with maybe a biscuit with tea or coffee later in evening. Now I am in the office about 7:45 and by the time I get home & cook it is about 7 when I eat, so today I shot out the door at 5:00 and was home to cook the cheeseburger pasta I had been
looking forward to all day, was yumA smile costs little but creates much1 -
@ruby_eskimo very wise words!
@bubbs I don't know those glasses sound kind of cool! The covid jabs I think a lot comes down to what allocation an area has and what the uptake is. My local GP's 80+ were offered it before Christmas, but my Grandad and a family friend both declined as it wasn't being done at our local surgery, and neither wanted to go somewhere new, not knowing if it would be the nurses and drs that they know, the scary unknown! and to be fair the family friend wouldn't have coped with the amount of walking there was. I'd bet a lot of the older group they started on round here were the same, used to going to the village dr's know what to expect there, where as they were being done about 15min drive away at a larger newer surgery, was our dr's and nurses but they didn't know that.... So they were able to get down the categories much faster and are onto "clinically extremely vulnerable" already, so COPD and immune conditions were started on last weekend. They aren't booking second jabs here though.
I don't remember who mentioned it now but I keep meaning to watch that how to lose weight well program, I've watched it previous years and some of them help remind me that SW is a comfortable way of doing it... I'm kind of a fussy eater I'm not sure I'd survive without pasta or noodles somewhere in my diet!
Just to add to my food today, kitkat - 5.5 syns. and a fancy chocolate which I'm going to count as 4 I think that's what lindor truffles are... so I think I'm on 11.5 with the sugar at breakfast, I may have a glass of orange juice and lemonade as a treat to use up the rest
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....2 -
pixtotts, they are ok 😂 but i would love to find my normal ones, i have not even got my car pair as these were those as just before Xmas i stood on my house ones and of course broke them 🙄 never done that before, that's what cleaning the windows cause 🤣 they were both exactly the same as i get bogof ones in specsavers .
I know i need an eye test so looks like i will be going sooner rather than later if they are open?Sealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:1 -
Specsavers were open during the previous lockdowns as they are considered Medical. I got my glasses during the last lockdown just had to wait outside until called in.
I watched the lose weight programme tonight featuring the Keto diet - definitely not for me! I'd miss my carbs too much, not bothered about having the fat though! Happy to syn some butter if I want it. They had Rosemary Conley on there and she was saying about the low fat diet and she's still doing it and she looks absolutely amazing for someone of 74! Certainly doesn't look that age.

Oh didn't know the keto one was on tonight, carbs don;t bother me as in pasta etc but do in parsnips/swede/carrots/baked beans etcSealed pot challenge number 003 £350 for 2015, 2016 £400 Actual£345, £400 for 2017 Actual £500:T:T £770 for 2018 £1295 for 2019:j:j spc number 22 £1,457Stopped Smoking 22/01/15:D:D::dance::dance:- 5 st 1 1/2lb :dance::dance:0 -
It seems you can have a little carbs although the girl doing it didn't seem to have any! She also said she wouldn't want to do it all the time!

I imagine all the money Rosemary Conley made in the 80’s and 90’s will have helped pave an easier life, which would help most look good for their age. Has certainly had the same effect on my older 2 sisters. Reckon I must look 20yrs older the ups and downs I’ve hadOne day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing
Be nice to your children, they'll choose your care home3
