You made me laugh sary!  I actually think a lot of it is in the genes.  All the women in my family look young for their age and the men look older than their age; it's quite funny really  - there's only just over a year between me and DH but people think there is about 10!  My sister is 71 but only looks about mid 60s; I'm 68 and look about 60.  I'm sure you don't look 20 years older than you are!

Need to go and get some shopping as need more fruit and veg plus of course those sausages I still haven't got!

Today was WI for me and it was yet another STS!  This is really getting annoying now.  DH is finally on board again (sort of!) and lost lb this week and, of course, he eats more than me!

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; S; F
    L - LO minestrone
    D - spag bol - P; S; F; HEA2

    HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - parmasan (but not a full HEA)
    HEB - porridge
Syns - no idea, nothing planned

We've finally got a dry day but it is so cold!  Keep safe and have a good day.

Morning all!  Sorry to hear about the STS again denise, not really sure what to suggest to help move things along!

Demolished the hotpot last night as I was so hungry and then had 3 biscuits as I was still hungry and my head was still a bit all over the place with the uncertainty but felt good that I managed to only have 3 and not the rest of the entire box!

It's so cold here today (currently -1 outside) so had porridge with a banana this morning and mushroom soup is on the cards for lunch now I've actually gotten around to making it   Dinner is the very last portion of chicken curry from the freezer with some mushroom rice.  Hope everyone stays safe.

Thanks ruby.  I'm trying quite a few new recipes this month so hoping a change in the meals we usually have might help things move along a bit!  Breakfasts are the biggest problem as we tend to have the same ones repeatedly!  Could have done with a hot breakfast this morning but as I knew we were going shopping I prefer to have something like overnight oats so I haven't got to cook before going out!

If all the new recipes don't do the trick I may well end up having to try reducing my syns but really don't want to have to do that!

Don't think I'd get away with that much spinach in an omelette for DH!  I always make a big one between us (don't have a small pan anymore).

The chicken looks lovely bubbs.  Was that done in the Actifry?

That's infuriating about the STS denise. I'd be surprised if it's  too many syns as I was way under  syns last time I went to group but STS too. I think it could have been a delayed reaction from eating out the week before IYSWIM. I'm just going to keep plodding. Where's beanie when you need her!! 😊

Yesterday, it was the clingy thermal leggings, today it's a thermal long top that's showing every bump! I bought a new, cream one and compared with my black tops I feel enormous in it. It's the opposite of a NSV. Maybe a non-scale wake up call!!  Today is the proper start of my week with 105 syns in the bank so I'll feel more in control.

You did well to stop at 3 biscuits ruby.  Well done. I think this weather is making us hungry. Good idea to have the chicken because you fancied it bubbs. Why not?? We're worth it. 😊

I went out briefly this morning as I had a parcel to collect. I called into Sainsbury's and bought some YS smoked salmon. 😋 It's quite a large pack so I'll split it but was trying to think of a good way to eat it rather than just grazing. DH isn't a fan so it'll just be for me.  When I started SW denise, I gave DH a list of all the breakfasts I could have on the plan. He makes our breakfast every day so I knew I'd have to get him 'trained' for the plan to work. He's been  star as we used to have  things like croissants and crumpets.  I have about 5 different breakfasts mostly around eggs, beans, bacon  and porridge. I don't get bored with them but I know I don't have much Speed at breakfast time except occasional mushrooms and tomatoes. I do make up for it in the rest of the day though.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, banana, skinny syrup (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk
L- ham (P), 2 potatoes (F), load of fried veg and beetroot (S)
D- chilli con carne (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
Syns- water biscuits still hanging around! 🤔😉

My breakfasts are pretty much the same as yours maman with the addition of kedgeree now and again but I find that a bit of a faff to do too often.  The only breakfasts DH cooks are our weekend fry ups!

I like smoked salmon with scrambled eggs or have it with some salad for lunch along with other fishy stuff like tuna and/or crab sticks.

When we're in France our breakfasts are still croissants, pain raisin and pain chocolate and occasionally the almond croissants LOL!

Bit of a change to the plan - went to get the mince from the freezer and found a bag of savoury mince so I'm using that for the spag bol, just need to add a tin of tomatoes to it!  There's too much there so half has gone into the fridge and I'll make a chilli for dinner on Saturday night with addition of a tin of kidney beans!

Well today has been very far from plan....
I slept awfully, I woke up multiple times, finally giving up at 7am freezing and feeling slightly sick, and a weird smell going on. Turns out the cold weather had turned our oil to sludge and meant that the boiler kicking in and starved the AGA so I suspect it was the AGA going out oil fumes smell caused me the bad sleep and the feeling gross. We've not got above freezing today so even though we've been out with a hairdryer we're still without heating or a cooker. Then I got sent out on a bookers run for the shop my sister works at so that was 3 hours of the day gone
We do have the fire lit though! But anyway I'm just complaining that being cold makes me hungry! haha.

Breakfast - frosties 5syns - stove top kettle meant no hot water for my weetabix :disappointed: have got the electric one out now so not been without tea!
Lunch - leftover leftover pasta bake
    Dinner - I don't actually know yet....

Snacks - popcorn 5ish syns I think it was 99cal... and some chocolate orange buttons I don't know the syns
    HEA - cheese and milk
I hope you know your capable, & brave, & significant.
even when it feels like your not....
