Of course Coxy, recipe is here.  I found it needed about 30 minutes in the oven for all the water to absorb, but you may find your experience is different.  I do have gochujang paste in the house because I cook a few Korean dishes on the regular but you could use a bit of tomato paste and some cayenne / chilli powder to get a similar effect and I just chucked in a few handfuls of frozen green beans because I'm all for making things easier.  It was nice and comforting without being heavy and the rice and beans on it's own would actually go with a lot of things, I'm thinking of vegetable kebabs in the summer.

Get well soon to your sister @bubbs ! Great news they managed to turn things around so quickly. It is amazing what they can do.

The long walk last night ended up being 2 miles. My get up and go has got up and left the last couple of days but with star week and a few days without the iron tablets I think it has taken its toil. Got a new bottle of them last night so hoping this perks me up a bit. No pressure on myself to long walk tonight. I am going on a long walk with a friend tomorrow night and that will spur me on a bit.

Sticky chicken for teas tonight and cous cous and salady bits and chicken tikka slices for lunch

I empathise about the kedgeree smell coxy, we've had the same problem recently with kippers! 🤣

Hope the iron tablets do the trick klew. Your menu is looking good ruby (after wall to wall Easter egg) or are you only telling us the good bits! 😉😁

I watched Jamie Oliver last night and really liked the look of his sausage casserole recipe, particularly the dumplings. It was a bit more sophisticated than the baked beans and bacon one that I do. The whole recipe (using Frylight) would be about 8 syns but less if you tried Worcester sauce  instead of HP.  Dumplings might be worth a go in any casserole but would need a thickish/shallow sauce to stop them just sinking and falling apart. The idea is to be crispy on top with a soggy bottom!

Still bright and dry here so denise is fine for sightseeing!😁 Really looking forward to lunch out tomorrow and not going to worry about SW. Back on it on Thursday though.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit squash, baked beans (F), HEB toast, fried egg, bacon (P), HEA milk
L- ham (P), fried veg and pickles (S), possibly some potato or parsnip (F)
D- sausage, mash, LO gravy (F), fried  onions, cauli , broccoli, greens, carrots (S)
    Syns- BGTY sausages 2

Thanks for the recipe ruby xx
That's a fair distance for your walk klew - hope your mojo returns soon.
    Mmmmm dumplings maman!

Change of plan for lunch - had a cheese and spinach omelette - no baked beans. Also popped to Ts to get some mushrooms - they will be part of tomorrow's menu ;) Chestnut ones are on special c!ubcard price of 79p instead of £1.
Ts also had the LM sausages on special c!ubcard price - £1.25 a pack instead of £2.20 so I got 2 packs for the freezer.

Thanks Coxy and Ruby, yes was a roller coaster! Klew, yes shows what they can do, but frightening when it all happens so quick, but then if it had taken ages we would be moaning too 🤣

    Evening,
I just wanted to pop my head round the door to say hello everyone, and to say how glad I am to hear your sister is doing okay now Bubbs What a worrying time for your family, but so glad it has been sorted out so quickly for her.

I'm still not really following plan, and life is incredibly busy with my new job atm, but I will be back more regularly once I've got to grips with things in the future.  I'm doing a lot of training, and every day is different, so you can imagine how frazzled I'm feeling, but it's keeping me busy, and I'm learning a lot of new things.

Weight has been a steady STS, so that's a good thing.
    Bye for now.
