Joedenise we had a very old big Bedford motor home about 30 years ago then moved to caravans - we towed all over the country but kept going back to Cornwall. In the end we left the caravan at a site in Cornwall and travelled back and forth a few times a year. But with one thing and another couldn’t get down as often as we liked as it’s quite a journey from here. The site fees were going up and the van was getting old and showing it’s age 😥 We let it go 3 years ago and have really missed it. So now we’ve decided to go for another motor home. We want the smallest of the coach built ones...we need it to fit on our drive - don’t want to pay for storage. We want a fairly new or new one that sleeps 2 but has 4 seatbelts. Swift (I think - looked at so many on line I’m befuddled) have a new one coming out later this year that looks ideal....but we want to see some in the flesh before making a final decision..... We looked into a static home too but like the idea of seeing new places 😀 I think Scotland will be one of our first destinations......but realistically it might not materialise until next year.....I know dh and he’ll want to make 110% sure it’s the right van and research, research research 😂😂 What kind is yours JD?

I decided to try out the tuna pasta bake in one of the magazines. I just felt in the mood for cooking something. It's quite tasty but not sure the tuna is an essential ingredient. I think it would be more to my taste with bacon bits or LO chicken or even just veggie with peppers and courgettes. I could even add a tin of red beans for protein. I'll eat it for lunch but will try it out on DH at some point. I only made a half recipe.

It used up what spinach I had in the freezer. 😉

I'm going through all my old SW magazines and going to dump any that don't have any recipes I'm likely to use as I'm fed up with the huge pile I've got.  Been through the 2012 ones today and binned the lot!  Not one recipe I want to keep.

Can only do a few each 2 weeks as they are heavy in the recycling bin so it's a year at a time.  Recycling bin will be emptied this week so when we get back from Lymington I'll got through the 2013 ones to see if I want to keep any and if it's just the odd one or two then I'll just photocopy them and put them in my folder and dump the magazines.

Bhajis look yummy bubbs. Are they SW friendly ones? There's a woman in my group that makes them for taster sessions. She's famous for them. 😊

I agree maman.  They look good.  I've made the ones from the SW website before but not for a long time.  They were nice but 1 syn each for the gram flour.  There are Syn Free ones on both PON and SlimmingEats but they both use a mix of onions and sweet potato but I didn't think they were as nice when I tried them (the SE's one uses chickpeas as well).

Weather is definitely looking much better today so have put on another machine load of washing.  Will also do the bedding once that lot is out on the line.  We're forecast rain later but not until about 5pm so plenty of time to get washing dry.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    L - chunky minestrone with chicken - P; S; F
D - roast chicken dinner with roasted veg and green veg - P; S; F
    S - Ryvita; Primula light - HEA2/HEB

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - Primula Light
    HEB - Ryvita
    Syns - sausages 2

    Hav a good day everyone.

Yes syn free, i cooked a sweet potato, took it out the skin, sliced a red onion, added garlic, cumin and curry powder.Made into balls put on a fry lighted tray and sprayed with frylight, turned them over after about 10 mins and sprayed again. This just made the 4 , we had them with tea.

    Morning all

    Beautiful morning 😁

I washed my bedding yesterday in the hope of a good day today , so that will be out shortly.

    Good morning everyone,

Lovely bright morning here with a bit of a frost. I have been for a 3k run which has loosened me up a bit.

Spent yesterday up and down ladders at DS1s house. I was tasked with painting the coving, picture rail, skirting board and architrave. Felt a bit stiff last night, so had a nice lavender salts bath :)

Food was 'fluid' yesterday as no fridge in operation, so got a wrap from Ts and had some grapes too. We ordered chicken shish kebabs in the evening once we got home. Abundance of salad with it, so I feel slightly less guilty....

On to today, I will be doing washing and housework as DH is back at DS1s house. Have ordered a MrT delivery as DH will have the car. First order in around 18 months so feels a bit decadent! Only placed the order last night and it was a bit rushed, so will be interesting to see what I've forgotten. Did order chestnut mushrooms and primula light though ;)

    Food today:
B - LM sausages, poached egg, beans
    L - cheesy garlic mushrooms on toast :) HEXB/HEXA1
D - roast chicken, sw roasties, brocolli, cauli, carrots
Snacks - benefit bar, satsumas - 3 syns
Syns - 3 plus a small glass of white wine with dinner (5) so 8 total

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy
