Coxy I use the recipe from the SlimmingEats website for creamy garlic mushrooms but instead of using cream cheese I use Primula Light.  I like them with toast - sometimes have them for breakfast but more usually for lunch.

Mmmmm garlic mushrooms on toast - definitely going to try that out.

Well done on your loss milann - forgot to say yesterday.

Today we have a booked slot at the local municipal tip and then we are going to DS1s house to help paint. Him and his GF have started decorating in every room and now it's a bit overwhelming. Weather looks a bit iffy.

Not sure about food as will probably get lunch en route - but will take some bits with me too.

    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

Sun is trying to poke it's head out, let's hope it stays out, was damp out when i got up so guessing rain overnight, but i slept like a log last night for a change 😁

I will be having egg wraps of some sort today and of course picky tea 😋

I bought kg strawberries from Tesco yesterday £4 as i had seen reports of them being really nice, i can confirm the ones i bought are 😁so i may make strawberry tart or cheesecake later.

    Have a good day   all

Morning all, weather here is grey and damp and forecast to be showery all day.  Need to get some jumpers washed so going to do that in a minute once the dishwasher has finished and will put them on the airer and hopefully they'll be dry by the morning and I can put the ones I want to take with me next week into the van.

Have managed to get the food I wanted to into the little icebox in the icebox in the motorhome so at least it will save a bit of spending money!  Just need to get a goat curry out of the freezer and put into the fridge on Monday morning before we leave so that it will defrost in time for dinner Tuesday night.

    Today's plan:

B - fry up with sausages & fried up LO mash potato - P; S; F (didn't eat all the potato as it was a bit dry)
    L - jacket potato, cottage cheese & salad - P; S; F
    D - 3 veg Mac n cheese; salt and vinegar cucumbers - S; F

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - cheddar
    HEB - none planned
Syns - none planned but probably have something this evening

Have managed to stay under syns Thursday and Friday so if I don't have too many today I'll have quite a few spare for when we're away when there will definitely be some off plan food (including HM pasties!).

bubbs I've never found strawberries taste particularly good at this time of the year so glad that the ones you've bought do actually taste good.  Enjoy your strawberries tarts or cheesecake!

Denise, i was surprised how nice they do taste

Sounds like you are ready and raring to go Monday 😁 Hope you have some dry weather, although forecast did say we are going to have another cold blast 🤔 but if it's dry least you can wrap up against the cold

Forecast is better where we're going than where we live!  It's supposed to be dry most of the time but cold.  Really need it to be dry as we're planning on getting around on the scooter so we don't have to move the motorhome and that's not nice when it's raining and won't happen!  It will have to be walking locally rather than going a bit further afield.  You're right that we're raring to go!

I read that as washing jumpers in the dishwasher! 🤣

It's meant to stay dry with some sunny periods around here for the coming week denise. Temperature is forecast around 12 degrees. You should be fine with the right clothes. I'm already planning my outfit for lunch in a pub garden on Wednesday. 😉

You certainly know how to live coxy. Enjoy your visit to the tip and hopefully you'll be able to buy something SW friendly for lunch. I've always found eating out and staying on plan  can be a problem. Pre lockdown I'd sometimes have a JP in Debenhams café on the way to the  football ground but that's closed now. I'll have to investigate places to go in future.

I'm going to make some beef stew later for my lunches. I got some YS shin out of the freezer last night. Shopping yesterday was considerably cheaper than usual because I didn't need any fish or meat just fresh veg, fruit and that sort of thing. I'm determined to eat some of the stuff I've been squirreling away.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs (P), tomatoes and mushrooms (S), HEB toast, HEA milk
L- JP (F) with cottage cheese (P), spring onions and beetroot (S)
D- Aldi curry (P,S), extra veg (S), HM pilau rice (F)
    Syns- curry 1, weekend wine😉

That really made me laugh maman!

I'm sure you'll be able to find somewhere else where you can get something SW friendly on your way to football in future - there are lots of cafes that usually do jacket potatoes; there are also some chip shops that have started doing them as well.  We have one in the nearest big town and they also do grilled fish as well as the more usual deep fried battered fish!

I've been using up lots of stuff from the freezer but because I bought the goat and mutton this month also put more in.  For example I got 4 or 5 curries into the freezer from the first Kg of goat!  I've got another 3 Kg in there plus the Kg of mutton I've got 2 lots of stew in the freezer plus we've already eaten one.  Obviously was quite fatty but I let it go cold and then scraped the fat off the top to keep it low syn.

As is usual when we go away for more than a weekend we will have HM pasties for lunch on the first day so that will be 2 days worth of syns for just the one meal!  We're also planning on finding a pub somewhere on Saturday to eat out for our Golden anniversary but not sure if that will be in Lymington or somewhere else.

Maman I’m with you on using food squirrelled away. We are trying to get the freezer down as it’s jam packed.
Denise - I hope you get decent weather and have a lovely get away.....a tad jealous here 😂 Hopefully we can get out and about doing a bit of research into getting our motor home next weekend 👍
We have had heavy snow all morning- like something from a deep midwinter scene 😳 The sun is now shining and the decking is steaming as the slush left is melting in the sun. Hope it sorts itself for Tuesday when I’m seeing my dd and gks for the first time in months 😆 Could be a tad chilly in the garden 😳
SW zoom this morning which was ok.
Breakfast - brought up to me by dh whilst on zoom 😂 heb bacon and tomato barmcake
dinner - hea cheese, ham and beef with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and a couple of new potatoes
tea - left over lean roast lamb made into a keema with crunchy new potatoes on top (my version of a keema pie from old sw mag)
snacks - hi fi 3 syns satsuma yoghurt and frozen raspberries with a teaspoon of chocolate shot syrup 1 syn ( I think)
We went out for a ride yesterday which was much needed by us both...a walk....another ride and another walk. We ended up with fish — I ate some of the batter to get a taste - left the rest. Mushy peas and literally half a dozen chips- we watched the sun set over the sea and drove home. Barely saw a soul and drove through some lovely places 😀
Day 5/100 of filling my diary in 👍
