    Good morning everyone,
That lamb sounds lush denise - enjoy!
I was up early this morning for my 10km hike. DH dropped me off at 8.30am and it took me exactly 2 hours. I only stopped once, to remove backpack and adjust the tent that was strapped to the outside. The new trail shoes I bought were a dream to wear, really light and comfy. I am expecting * week today and have weighed in with a STS which is amazing given the birthday meals last weekend. Very happy with that.
    Food today:
B - choc chip brioche (before the hike) - syns a plenty
    L - wm roll, cheese, pickle - HEXB/HEXA1/1 syn
D - chicken arrabiatta and green veg
Snacks - apple, 6 sherbets (on the walk), satsuma - 1.5 syns
    HEXA2 - milk
Total syns planned - 2.5 but will have a rum n pepsi max later so 5 plus the brioche.....
    Have a great day everyone,
    Coxy

It was lovely seeing DD2 as haven't seen her at all since last summer.  The lamb was lovely, definitely something I'll make again but trim it a bit better next time as there was a lot of fat in the bottom of the dutch oven but at least it was easy to cut away the fat off the actual meat on the plate.  I cooked the jackets in the Remoska because there wasn't room and the oven wasn't hot enough to do them in there.  They turned out lovely, DD even said how good they were!

Have just put a mutton casserole in the oven for dinner tomorrow night.  I cut off as much fat as I could but hopefully I'll be able to scrape more off the surface in the morning after it's gone cold.

Well done on your STS coxy. It must be all the exercise burning up those syns. You're doing ever so well to stay focused on your training. Pain au chocolat can be anything up to about 20 syns depending on brand and size but best to just move on.

Aldi was busier than a usual Friday afternoon but not too bad. I got the veg I wanted including a massive red cabbage the size of a football. I'll take a photo later. It's huge and very good value for 45p. I bought some hot cross buns. DH likes them and I might have one as an Easter treat. I went into Farmfoods and bought a tin of those beans for 19p bubbs. I thought we'd try one to check that we like them before buying more.

    Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, baked beans (F), fried egg and bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
    L- sardines (P), beetroot (S), lentil soup (P,S)
D- Fake KFC (P), SW chips (F), carrots chips, creamy cabbage with HEA2, green medley, tomatoes and mushrooms (S)
    Syns- weekend wine😁🐰

Sweethearts 🥰 I like those, especially at 6p!🤣 I keep 3 or 4 cabbages on the go at once because I like them chopped up together. Looks pretty and tastes good. Currently have kale, sweetheart, white and spring greens. I've not seen any savoys around for a while. 🤔

That's a big red cabbage maman especially for the price.  I think Savoy cabbage season is probably over by now, it's more of an early spring cabbage.  Not had sweetheart cabbage for a while; wasn't any in the local farm shop Tuesday when I went in but I like it as well.  What time were you in Morrisons to get cabbage that cheap bubbs?  Never seen anything reduced that much in ours.

The thighs look a good size bubbs; certainly look bigger than the ones I usually buy.

It's a bit grey again today but decided to get some washing done as the washing basket's getting a bit full (read overflowing!).  Will also need to change the bed so will do that tomorrow as supposed to be the best day weatherise over the weekend.  Will have another load to do Monday then hopefully that will be it for a few days!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans - P; S; F
    L - tuna and cucumber sandwich - HEB; P; S; 2
    D - mutton casserole, mash, green veg - P; S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
    Syns - mayo 1; LF spread 1

    Hi everyone,
    That's one big cabbage maman!
I kept on the move yesterday after my walk, so as not to seize up lol. Went to Sainsbobs to get hot cross buns - not a single one in there which is slightly ironic given you can buy them every other day of the year, except the actual day they are intended for. Ended up in Ts with the world and his wife - and got a couple of packs, one to take to DSis house today as we are lunching in the garden. Will need to take a coat as weather is chilly.
Have been to A!di this morning.
Food today will be a 'go with the flow' kind of day as not sure what DSis is doing. Dinner tonight is steak, sw chips, roasted tomatoes on the vine, peas and flat mushrooms.
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy
