That is certainly one big cabbage. No hot x buns on Good Friday 😲😲 Pleased you got some in the end and hope you enjoyed lunch in the garden Coxy
I weighed in this morning another gain of 1 1/2lb. I wasn’t going to bother with zoom as I’ve lost my mojo and was going to wait until next week. I suddenly decided to go for it and ended up being 10minutes late after I’d made myself respectable 😂😂 I was glad I’d attended or it’d have been another week of messing about. I’ve decided I’m giving it another 6 weeks and if my mojo isn’t back - I’ll save my money
Today
breakfast - raspberry, satsuma and banana in ff yoghurt
dinner - bacon and tomato on heb bread
tea - a hm sw meal from freezer with rice - not sure what I fancy but I’ve got a few to choose from
snacks - fruit, crackers 6 syns hea cheeseJanuary spends - £587.582 -
milann well today's menu looks very SW friendly so perhaps your mojo is coming back! Just take it one day at a time; hopefully things will improve over the next 6 weeks (assume you've bought a Countdown?). I think you're right that doing the Zoom means that you won't be messing about for another week so well done for that.
Perhaps make sure you post every day, or at least read the thread daily, to help keep you on track. We all know how easy it can be to go off track when things are no easy or there's bank holidays etc but hopefully now that we can get out and about a bit more this might help.
Good luck.

Thanks JD - I’ve been reading most days but my diet plan this last couple of weeks wouldn’t have helped anyone 😲😂😏 - still not sure what got into me......well I do.....biscuits, cake and everything else in sight 😲 I think it’s just where I am atm - getting my head around the new me since the op...
But I know I can’t go on like this and will allow some Easter treats tomorrow - a flexi day - get back on track Monday.January spends - £587.583 -
Well done. Enjoy your flexi-day tomorrow and get planning for Monday onwards.

joedenise said:The thighs look a good size bubbs; certainly look bigger than the ones I usually buy.
I think you definitely did the right thing milann. Although I only go to group every 6-8 weeks I do try to stay rather than weigh and go. Just listening to others in the group is helpful as well as anything the consultant has to say. Although we all deviate from plan occasionally (sometimes on purpose for an occasion, sometimes in 's*d it' moments) getting back to the healthy eating programme ASAP will at least call a halt to big gains.
I'm going to do some batch cooking this afternoon. DH is chopping onions for me for the braised red cabbage as he hates to see my eyes streaming. I can usually cope with one onion but not the load I need to match that monster cabbage.
Back soon.😊2 -
How do you do your red cabbage. I never like it when I do it but enjoy it when I have it elsewhere.January spends - £587.582

I usually use 4 thighs for a meal for the 2 of us as well maman. The packs I buy from The Food Warehouse usually have 14 or 15 in them so I have usually have a couple of packs with 5 of the smaller ones in.
Imilann I use the braised red cabbage recipe from the SW website when I make it but I don't syn it as we don't have a lot at a meal, probably no more than a heaped Tbs or so each so plenty of portions from a single cabbage; I certainly get more than 8 portions from a single cabbage which is what the website says it serves.

Afternoon all
Tis cold today but the sun is out now and not long ago i out my washing out!
I went Aldi this morning , then we have been to see my sister as not been able to see her and she is not well, hopefully will get the results from the sudden surgery this week. Fingers crossed. I took her 3 big bags of shopping mainly out of my bargains, from toothpaste, showergel, too tinnned stuff and bought some fresh veg today.
Denise it was the middle of the day 😏 I don't like savoy cabbage .

Oh no bubbs, I bet you're having to take the blame for injuring your DH. 😉
DD1 called round earlier with some flowers for me. We sat in the back garden for the first time since Mothers' Day 2001. 😊
I've got the red cabbage and the swede & carrot mash cooking. The cabbage just about fitted into my very largest casserole so will get loads of portions. I wish I'd weighed it before I started as just noticed that red cabbage is 80p per kg in Sainsbury's and I only paid 45p.
I hadn't thought about savoy cabbage being seasonal denise. I suppose we get used to everything being available all the year round. The spring greens and kale give a bit of dark green in with the white so it still looks good (as well as tastes good😋).
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit (F), fried eggs, bacon (P), HEB toast, HEA1 milk
L- veggie stir fry (S) with noodles (F)
D- mushroom stroganoff (S) with HEA2 cheese and brown rice (F)
Syns- sweet chilli sauce 1, weekend wine😊2 -
bubbs - hope hubby isn't in too much pain after tripping over the box! As maman said I'm sure he'll blame you for leaving it in the way!
maman I've never thought about mixing the cabbages/kale/greens etc - it's always just one type! Do you chop and mix and keep in the fridge like that or do it as and when you want it? Have you tried freezing it? I think the reason we don't really think about seasonality with cabbage as there is some sort of cabbage available all year round so we don't really need to "think" about it.
Enjoy the mushroom stroganoff, loved it when we had it a little while ago. Think that's something that will be going on next month's menu plan.
Right, just had a cuppa and now I need to go and peel and chop some potatoes for dinner, plus once that's done sort out some green veg to go with it - probably cabbage, beans and peas.
