Happy Birthday denise. I'm so pleased your family made a fuss of you yesterday and that you're having a day off today. Croquembouche especially for you! 😋
Enjoy your fish and chip supper. I love the batter but now I only eat the top ( a tip from when kathrynha used to post) especially as they can often have a soggy bottom. 🤣2 -
Thanks maman and beanie.
Love the croque-en-bouche! I said to DD1's partner that he should have done that, he wasn't impressed, LOL!

I know what you mean about the crispness of Easter egg chocolate coxy but over time I've gone off milk chocolate. I don't eat chocolate very much at all, but when I fancy some I have the 70% cocoa, really dark stuff. I'm going to make us a special roast on Sunday. We have one every week but this year it's going to be more like a Christmas dinner....without the Christmas pudding. If I do have a synful Easter treat it would be hot cross buns. I love those. It's what I had for pudding for my birthday picnic a couple of weeks ago. 😋
How infuriating about the laptop ruby. It's hard to know which of your many exercises has caused the aches and pains but hopefully it won't last. We've done well for walking this week, making the most of the weather. I do exercise indoors (mostly stretches) occasionally but I'm not good at keeping it up. I'll be so happy when I can get back to dancing but it looks like it could be May at the earliest.
I've made us a lamb hotpot for dinner with some YS diced lamb I bought in Asda. I did cut off any obvious fat so I'm counting it as free. I used lamb and rosemary for a traditional Lancashire hotpot but it occurred to me I could make the recipe using beef cubes and thyme. They're far better value for money and leaner. 🤔
Today's EE pan-
B- NAS grapefruit, HEB toast, HEA milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- lentil soup (P,S), mackerel in mustard sauce (P), beetroot (S)
D- Lancashire hotpot (P,F,S), cabbages, cauli and broccoli (S)
Syns- HP sauce 1, cornflour 1
I'm finishing the week with about 5 syns left in the bank. I wore my skinniest jeans when I went out earlier and they felt OK so I reckon I'm hovering around the top of range. I can live with that. We're certainly bucking the lockdown trend. 😁2 -
I think you're right maman. I think it's because although we're not weighing every week at group we've got so used to following SW that it's almost ingrained in us to carry it on, at least most of the time. I'm hoping that by the time I weigh again (and send weight to consultant) I'll at least be at top end of target range but may just send in an STS as it will give me time to get back into range by the time we go back to RL groups! (Seems like a plan, LOL!)
Well done on still having syns left for this week.2 -
Evening all

Think I think I’ve had your share of food Bubbs .....don’t know what’s got into me. I’ve eaten everything and anything in sight. Need to sort myself out big time 😡😡 I’m so mad with myself.
I love lamb hotpot Maman especially with crispy potatoes on top. I haven’t made it for ages though so I must make it soon.
Croque-en-Bouche looks delicious 😋January spends - £587.581 -
Morning all, definitely had a good day yesterday, so good I don't remember actually going to bed! Definitely too much to eat and drink! There was so much fish and chips we need to reheat and have them again today, not a good start to the new week but it is what it is.
Not planning to do much today either - not feeling very well so not going shopping until tomorrow as think I'm still over the limit for driving. Going to have a quiet day on my own for a few hours later as DH going to play golf.
Today is going to be off plan as well so won't post my menu! Back to plan from tomorrow now.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning!
Glad you had a good day denise - hope you feel brighter soon. Love the look of the croque-en-bouche mmmmm!
I managed a 5k run this morning in 32:48and am planning a 10k hike tomorrow with loaded backpack as training for my summer adventure. I'm trying to rope in DS2 for company on the hike, but he isn't thrilled at the prospect. It's all off road across fields and I know the route, just would prefer some company.
Food today:
B - grilled bacon, poached egg, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes
L - tuna salad with pickles, 1 tbsp light mayo - 2 syns
D - jacket potato, salad leaves, prawns in hm marie rose sauce - 4 syns
Snacks - satsuma, grapes, benefit bar HEXB
Total syns planned - 6
Have a good day everyone,

Sounds like you had a really good time denise. 😉🤣
I hope you get some company for your walk coxy . If not, do you ever listen to podcasts or music when you're walking? Not sure if its safe to have earphones in but if you're in the middle of nowhere then it wouldn't matter if others could hear.🤔 Good luck anyway.
We hadn't had hotpot for ages either milann but I saw the YS lamb and it decided me. Sorry to hear you're derailing yourself. I've had a couple of hungry days too but I've managed to just eat SW friendly stuff. I suppose it helps that there are just the two of us at home so I don't buy much off plan stuff. DH has lardy cake (because we passed a baker when out for a walk) in at the moment but that doesn't interest me. I was tempted by the copious amounts of wine that were delivered the other night (25% off in Sainsbury's) but I resisted. 😇
I'm undecided whether to go shopping today or leave it until tomorrow as usual. I do need to go out for a couple of things anyway. It's hard to know whether the shops will be busy tomorrow when some people are off work and schools closed for Easter. I think I'll do my meal plan and decide later. Mushroom Stroganoff is going on the menu for Saturday. I use the Slimming Eats recipe too, denise, and I've used Primula before. It's very similar to the garlic mushroom recipe. I add some grated Parmesan too as it tastes more cheesy that way. 😋
I'm going to buy extra swede & carrot for the freezer while it's 29p in Aldi. I'm not short of it but it will be good to stock up at that price. I saw huge red cabbages last week so if they still have them I'll buy one of those too as they sell them per piece in Aldi. I think about 45p.
Today's EE plan-
B- NAS grapefruit, skinny syrup, banana (F), HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S)
L- LO hotpot and veg (P,S,F)
D- veggie chilli (P,S), brown rice (F), cottage cheese (P)
Syns- 01 -
I'm hoping the shops won't be as busy as usual with it being a bank holiday. I need to check with DD2 what time she's planning on coming down tomorrow - all I know is that she and her partner will be here in time for lunch! It may be I'll go after she's gone home but need to check what time the shops are closing as it may well be Sunday times.
That's a good idea adding some parmasan to the cheesy sauce - will do that next time I make it.
The red cabbage is a good price, it's usually more expensive than that. Good idea stocking up on the swede and carrot while it's in the Super 6.
