I think the shops are normal times tomorrow denise. 🤔 I find it so much easier to batch cook swede & carrot mash and red cabbage as we'd never eat a whole one in one meal. It saves work on a Sunday too as then I just have to do greens. The mash is useful for a SP topping too as I freeze savoury mince too. 😊
Day 3 of your birthday when DD2 comes for lunch?? Perhaps you should shop beforehand?? 🤣2 -
I think you're probably right maman! We're having BBQ pork ribs with roasted veg and salad. I think 2 ribs will take care of a full day's syns! I'll make sure I have plenty of roasted veg and salad.2

Those sauce on the beans look as though it's really thick. I really wish we had a FarmFoods near us but our nearest is an hour's drive away!
Decided to go shopping this afternoon rather than trying to fit it in tomorrow morning before DD2 arrives. Have bought all the meat for this month's menu plan. Couldn't get any lamb mince so ended up buying a small leg of lamb. DH deboned it and cut a couple of steaks off it; and there's about 500g of lean meat which I've split in 2. One lot I need minced to make Fakeaway Doner Kebab; the other lot I'll probably make a tagine with.

I was in Farmfoods earlier bubbs. I got some tinned tomatoes and frozen raspberries. I saw a display of beans. They were blocking the aisle opposite the chiller. Are those the beans with unusual writing on them? 🤔2

You can tell I didn't have my glasses on. I thought those e's with crowns were Chinese writing! 🤣 I saw the 'not in a pot' (thought it was a clever name) but thought Yuk as well. I like noodles but I like to cook plain ones and serve with loads of fresh veg., 😊1

Morning all, really horrible weather this morning, grey, miserable and cold.
DD2 and her partner are coming for lunch. We've had to have a change of plan as when the ribs defrosted they didn't smell very nice so wouldn't risk them. DH went up to the butchers about 6.30 this morning and bought a shoulder of lamb - it's the leanest shoulder I've seen for a long time. It's marinading at the moment and I will be slow cooking it later.
Today's plan:
B - kedgeree - P; S; F
L - slow cooked lamb shoulder; jacket potato; roasted veg - P; S; F
D - smoked salmon and prawn salad wrap - HEB; P; S
HEA - milk
HEB - WM wrap
Syns - none planned

Enjoy your lamb denise😋. A bit like buses, we haven't had any for an age and then twice this week!
I didn't get to do my main shop yesterday after all. I had a few errands to run so called into Farmfoods when I was out and that was all. I'll post my menu after I've done my shop. Now to find something in the bare cupboards for my lunch! No leftovers available today. 🤣1
