I have had two different courtesy cars since January & still no sign of my car as they keep pushing the date back.
I only drive automatic & I am told it is very difficult to get automatic courtesy cars!!

I had the same problem beanie.  I can only drive an automatic too.  They tried to give me a manual until I asked if one of their people was going to be sitting next to me to get the car home so that DH could drive it and had they got some L plates for me to stick on the car!  You should have seen the guy's face!

Feel bad now that I got an auto car! Swopped the cars back over at 4pm. Weather was foul but I survived. Small print on insurance doc said excess was £500! OMG I didn't see that as didn't have my reading glasses with me  :o
All food and snacks eaten. Intrigued by the butternut bowl - do you just peel, scoop and roast?

Certainly looks as though it's been peeled, scooped and roasted.  When I roast butternut squash I roast it complete with skin as it softens nicely with roasting and you can eat it.  Have to admit to never having roasted it like that.  I usually cut in half lengthwise and roast cut side up - in fact I'll be doing that with mine tomorrow for dinner!

No i don't peel it, yes scooped it all out, then put it in the microwave 10 mins, then put the filling in, a sprinkle of paprika on the rim and put it in the oven. I eat the skin

Morning everyone!  Had a rubbish nights sleep because of the wind blowing everything around so it's a pyjamas day for me today plus lots of coffee.  Actually I've been feeling pretty rubbish since the weekend with a bit of a migraine yesterday and ended up falling asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours after work.  Didn't actually have the meatballs for dinner as DH toasted me a couple of crumpets instead and then sent me up to bed 😂  Will be taking it as easy as I can today so might end up having an afternoon nap at this rate!  Haven't had breakfast yet but might have a bacon and mushroom sandwich followed by lentil and red pepper soup for lunch and then mushroom risotto for dinner.

Hope everyone has a good day!

    Good morning,
Hope you feel better soon ruby.
I didn't know you could eat butternut squash skin. When I roast it I cube it - now thinking about all the things I could stuff it with!
Extremely windy here, so no running for me today because you can bet I would have been running into it rather than it blowing me along.
    Food will be:
    B - puffed wheat, skimmed milk HEXB/HEXA1
    L - 1 slice WM nimble, poached egg, spinach - 2 syns
D - chicken fajitas - I won't have the tortilla wraps, just the mixture and side salad - 2 syns for fajita mix?
    Snacks - apple, grapes, satsumas
    Total syns planned - 4
    Have a good day everyone,
    Coxy

That wind and rain was horrendous last night so not surprised you had trouble sleeping ruby.  I, on the other hand, slept like a log!  Once I'm asleep I'm out for the count until I need to go to the loo usually about 3am but I was late going to bed, about 1am, so actually slept until 6am for a change!  Didn't get up until 7 though because it was too cold out of bed because the heating doesn't come on until then!  Our neighbour has lost a fence panel plus there are 2 broken panels which will also need replacing.  I'm not really surprised because they've been there for about 20 years so probably due to be replaced.  Our fence is OK but that's probably because we replaced it last year; ours was also about 20 years old as both fences were replaced about the same time.

I'm pleased to say that I lost that 2lb I put on last week for no apparent reason so I am back to where I was when I sent my weight to my consultant the week before, so I'll just ignore the blip and say it's STS for this week!

    New syn bank starts today!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs; smoked salmon; 1 slice of toast - P; 5.5
    L - LO roast pork & apple sauce sandwich - HEB; P; 0.5
    D - vegetable pilau and roasted butternut squash - S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - 1 slice bread 3.5; tsp butter 2; Tbs apple sauce 0.5

Need to go out later to get some fruit & veg as nearly out of everything apart from butternut squash and a single orange!  Have got some meat being delivered this morning so will need to bag that up into portion sizes suitable for us as the bag sizes are too big for us.  I've ordered some goat meat (we absolutely love goat curry!); some ox cheeks and some packet mixes to try.  It's the first time I've used this online butcher and if the meat is good then I will probably run down the freezer and do a bulk order later in the year.  His prices are a bit higher than the local butcher but the meat online looks much better but will have to wait and see.

Have a good day and keep safe everyone.

    Morning all,

Only 2.5 miles last night it was blowing a gale and I was lacking motivation! So we did a mile this morning to make up for it before work.

Breakfast – fruit and fibre and SS milk

Lunch – Baked potato, baked beans, cheese ….. or tuna mayo with salady bits – haven’t decided yet!

Dinner – SW Bolognese leftovers with pasta

Supposed to be walking with a friend tonight but either way will walk around 3 miles.

There could be a freddo involved in the making of today
