Went for my blood tests appointment. I was early but they had no queue. Sat for 5 minutes afterwards as I had felt dizzy when I got out of the taxi. Went to sit in the bus shelter (they have removed all the outside benches), caught the little bus into town (normally full but with so few people attending for appointments I noticed last week it was running empty. One other passenger and we both got off in town. Went in the bank to pay cash in, then along the street to the taxi office. Not an NSD because of bus/taxi fares. Some of the change into my penny savings tin. Filled the paper recycling bin by ripping up 3 large boxes (I can see through the window) and one bag of paper scraps/ junk mail.
Showered and changed, assembled tea (mostly cooked yesterday, gravy from 3 weeks ago out of the freezer, added veg, reheated the rest), put mum her serial on (she's watching Iron Fist - he's a very good looking young man), wrote my challenge then typed it up when she went to bed and I got the laptop back.
Grateful for lovely nurses and volunteers at the infirmary, getting to the bank (not really done anything but was so tired I nearly didn't bother), lovely food (more of the stew for lunch). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -

Sorry. Been missing for a few days. Have been spending my time in bed, sleeping and watching Netflix. Got a really bad tummy ache that just doesn't want to go away. Anyway, I'm up now and hope that it will go for good today. Washing on and having a cup of mint tea.

Bit of a meltdown day, not helped by figures of 100,000 victims to covid. Unfortunately watching some of the stories about these poor souls made me more tearful before work this morning. I need a hug.So being kind to myself day mini egg chocolate bar, more strawberries and butty I didn't make for a change.Watched the end of It's a sin last night which was heartbreaking. Russell T Davies is brilliant writer. So I need happy tunes today. Hi Turtles,
I am at 16 NSDs. I have been so good. But i had to isolate after being tracked and traced, thankfully its over now and I can go out in the world again. I have been doing battle with the budgets, and reviewng everything - for the next 6 months at least, I have committed to paying £850 off the debt (and more if I can). It has made me break out in a cold sweat but definately needs must. I have been here before, I am really very freustrated with myseslf. I have allowed myself a little bit more money, otherwise I know I will get the CC out.
Anyway I am grateful for a warm home, a new job starting in Monday and plenty of food to keep me going.3-month emergency fund (Cash ISA & PBs): £4744/ £6,000
Stocks and shares ISA: £1497
Additional pension contributions £0
Overpayment on mortgage: £0

Thanks for the new challenge @mothernerd Looking forward to it.
Still on NSD 10/15. OH has been dealing with top-up shops. That says it all really. Thankfully we’re still in budget - just - with only 4 days left of Jan. Our budget runs from first to last day of each month.
Another busy day at work but I got confirmation that my job regrade application has now been sent to our review panel.
I also got confirmation that our nursery transfer application has been received. DS is currently at a private nursery which charges ‘contribution fees’ even in lockdown! Have applied for a transfer to a local school nursery where there are no fees and the children get a free hot lunch as well as snacks. Fingers crossed our application is approved albeit they are all closed for the foreseeable future.
Grateful today for confirmation from work and council that forms have been received, OH making lunch and dinner, and completing a work project that’s been taking up so much of my time... one down.

Kerry_woman I meant to say that I found CBT very helpful. I did several weeks in group sessions and then went onto one to one (an assessment by the leader of the team running the group sessions). I thought I was 'living with' my depression but realised I was letting it dominate my life and living in the edges that were left. I will always have the depression at my shoulder (too many things have happened and they started in childhood so my response to new things is to see them as a threat rather than exciting) but the CBT sessions got me on the plane to go to DS1's wedding in Italy. I had never flown before and struggle in social situations. In my early twenties I had a list of things I was 'frightened of' (were difficult/ things I needed to work on) and my then fiancee just ripped my list in two and thought he had 'solved' the problem (maybe he liked me being frightened and wanted me dependant on him in certain situations - sometimes we run away from our parents problems so much that we run into them from the other side).
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage7
