Today will be NSD 19 as work was cancelled, -4 this morning and very icy over here in Le Shire. Lovely and sunny but bitterly cold.Another day of herding kids toward their schoolwork, and them scattering like badly behaved geese. Maybe I need one of those pens with a gate to herd them into. I am cast in the role of the dog, not the whistler. On the plus side it might mean I do not need to buy fuel this week, I will not be going shopping after work tonight, and so the money can stay in my account for another few days. On the minus side, I will be cooking supper tonight. Boo!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Last week was a tough one with work and my mind was not in a good place. I found myself going more into survive mode rather than thrive. My survive mode is eating too much, walking too little, staying up too late, and spending too much time online. Basically the opposite to advice on getting through low moods.
Thankfully I’m feeling much better this week.
I was watching 0lio like a hawk over the weekend because I’ve missed out on a few good listings. Yesterday I messaged someone for a 5kg bag of rice literally as soon as the notification came up on my phone. I got an instant reply to say it was gone. I think the app is becoming more popular here which is great. Hopefully more people become fwh in the area. I’d like to do it at some point but now isn’t practical for me.
Today I managed 30 minutes brisk walk, 1500ml water, and to pay £128.30 in an overpayment to our mortgage from budget underspends in food, transport, and leisure this month. Partly due to NST attitude to spending.
I’ll be celebrating Burns Night with a haggis supper from my local chippy and a wee cup of tea. OH finds it weird that I have a tea with a chippy.
What do other NSTs drink with their takeaway from the chip shop?

@ldee2111 I treat myself to a cola when I go to the chippy, never drink it otherwise but it just goes so well! Hmmm I want chips now!
No NSD today as donated to a colleague's maternity gift.
Worked all day yesterday so bagged a NSD there, didn't enjoy driving there in the snow but made it in one piece! Extra money hopefully coming my way at the end of Feb along with everything I'm owed for October through January.
Grateful for the snow melting enough to allow a brief walk at lunchtime, a quiet day at work (calm before the storm I'm sure) and a lovely hot bath tonight.6 -
Fingers crossed you get the back pay, lcc!

Totally agree, cup of tea with a chippy, and with a cooked breakfast (any time of day) my DH thinks it is head shakingly weird too. He is the one missing out.
