Friday- NSD 14/15. Fridge is looking a lot emptier which is good, have a list for tomorrow which I will stick to unless there are reduced items we will need.
It's cold and wet, work is crazy, nothing else going on.
Grateful for teaching staff doing their best to educate in strange days, phone calls with friends, DD proving to be an interesting conversation companion.6 -
Today I am grateful for getting my steps done, for keeping well, for it now being the weekend, for the snowdrops and 2 brave croci flowering, for utube tutorials, for the t I t s in the garden, for our gas usage being much lower with the new boiler we got in August.

Collected some bits from an 0li0 FWH today so nipped in to Tesc0 as DH had decided he wanted white bread for lunch - around 90 mins from lunch, so no time to make a loaf (had rolls proving, wraps and baguette in the freezer - but none of those would do....) Anyway, scored some good YS veg & a YS pack of 5% mince to go with the loaf (and milk) so not bad - and was in and out super quick (checked out all reduced goodies points and stopped at bakery and milk areas and that was it)
Rubbish exercising this week - but have allowed myself this week off exercise and watching what I eat and will get back to it next week
Gave some stuff away via fb00k today - so that's a bit less stuff in the houseI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £205 -
Belated Happy Birthday @mothernerd !
@Shrewbie my fruit phone is on its last legs too. I looked at refurbished and was surprised by how expensive they were. I think when I can’t put up with my current one’s tantrums, I’ll probably buy new handset from the fruit shop but a slightly older model.
Not a NSD. Bought new shoes for DS.
Grateful for homemade pizza, my free audiobook from the library which I listened to driving to and from hospital today, and the NHS for saving my life and caring for me ever since.

Washing in and out and mostly dried (currently on hangers one the front and side of the wardrobes, sheets over the door and pillowcases on two garden chairs). Lots of clutter gone including the last dregs of 3 of the strange toiletry items mum has been gifted over the years, 2 old notebooks (all the important bits transferred over and unused half pages used for calculations on the puzzles), one rubbish bag + kitchen bin bag, one bag of paper rubbish, several small pieces of bubble wrap and a padded envelope used to wrap four small plant pots, labelled and put in temporary storage (cupboard next to the one it will end up in but not doing the whole moving everything around to get in the end cupboard). Made a start on cutting my hair again. Cleared the pathways for the window cleaner. Cooked chicken breasts from the freezer to have with frozen chips and baked beans and the final dribble out of the Nando's sauce bottle (I know I have at least 2 more at home - they were half price, huge bottles for the normal price of the little ones) but thought one big bottle was enough to see me through my temporary relocation. No money spent so NSD 10.
Today I am grateful for the bed, throat sweets (DS2 brought me some different ones and I love them) and all the other stuff that makes life bearable and various ailments under control. For music, for DS3's Beloved finally getting the support she needs and some money of her own, for more money added to my penny savings tin, for sunshine most of the day.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage5 -
NSD No 20. It was a really cold one here. The butter still hasn't softened enough to make the cake.
Got a Christmas card today. Only took six weeks to get here.
Really quite a boring day but OK. We've just been relaxing.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.4 -
Saturday- still on 14 NSDs, have done a "big" shop- will need to pick up milk etc but mostly sorted for over a week.
Grateful today for getting the dog walked in the dry, the shop not being too busy and work being quite quiet this morning.

Spend day today. Went horse riding first thing, was lovely and cold and frosty, got to see the racehorses training too.
Popped to sainsbury's for some protein bars (they seem so much cheaper in there than tesco who I get my deliveries from) and a couple of other bits. Spent the rest of the day pottering at home and reading my book. Also bought some henna and samples of wood to try and replace two rotten kitchen cupboard doors. Really hoping they're a close match as I don't wanna replace the whole lot.
Got my bag packed for work tomorrow and ready to go. OH is getting takeaway but I'm being good this evening.4 -
Had a wander around the garden today and checked out all the bulbs peeking through- love to see such signs of Spring
Beautiful blue skies today, although bitterly cold here.
Gorgeous curry for dinner tonight (everyone commented just how good it was) sadly only the weeniest portion leftover so will pad it out with some veggies for a lunch portion at some point.
Grateful for tasty food, for a warm house, for bulbs coming up (vast majority of which i dug up from my nans house) , for chocolate covered bisc0ff biscuits... 😋😋I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £204 -
