I was so close to a NSD but then both OH and I got a takeaway costing £15. It was really good. Back on to the meal plan tomorrow.
Had a brisk walk early this morning - 21 minutes. I am feeling a difference in my energy and preparedness for work on the days I do a walk. I am much more 'on it' which is just as well because my work today was intense.
After I put DS to bed, I'm going to spend half an hour doing some of a free Future Learn course I've signed up to.
Manager also acknowledged receiving my form to support a review of my job grade. Not sure how long the review process will take but I imagine it'll be weeks.
Grateful for a walk, a takeaway, and free courses.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸6 -
Spent yesterday in smkt. NSD today.
Thankful for easy food, olio goodies (none collected past few days but we have been eating them), for sorting some more stuff to go, for the kids just getting on with schoolworkI am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £206 -
That read like you spent all day in the smkt, greent!Today I am grateful for dd having a really good counselling session, for my veggies, for my classes, for being well, for a Father Brown episode I'd not seen before ( it's nice sometimes NOT to know the ending!).NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!7

Wednesday- still on 13 NSDs. Today *should* have been a NSD as I went nowhere, but I gave in and placed an online clothes order for DD. Her current growth spurt means she keeps getting dressed in the morning and I send her back to change as either her t-shirts are like crop tops or her trousers show her ankles! More clothes bagged up to pass on to a friend. I can't really complain as I've not been in a "clothes shop" for 11 months so although it seems like a huge amount of money (about £70), it's all I've spent on clothes for her in months.
Grateful today- for a walk in the woods, finding clothes online which look like what we want and offer free delivery AND free returns if they are not suitable.

Put money in a card today so no NSD. Cancelled an appointment for mum made for next week. Explained that mum is extremely clinically vulnerable and that the venue is totally unsuitable for her (I've been there once) - lots of narrow corridors to get to the small lift and a repeat when you get onto the upper floor so the woman cancelled it and will send one out for June (when we might be okay to venture out) and a more accessible venue with less walking (hopefully local infirmary not middle of a town 8 miles away). Phoned cousin to get her daughter's address - mum has been sending cards to cousin for her to pass on, but it might be a while before they can go to see the new baby (Suffolk to Yorkshire).
Grateful for jellies with berries and ice cream and leftovers (put all the bits from Sunday together in a sort of stew). Lovely books to read, fun film that mum watched earlier in the week, being ahead enough to rest and recuperate today without feeling guilty. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage6 -
I haven’t posted in a couple of days.
Things have been good here, apart from a building exploding 500 metres from my flat yesterday! The bang was very loud and shook the windows. It was apparently a gas explosion. :-(
I think I’m on NSD 7. Have been eating pretty well, exercising but no mediation. Have been reading every morning at least 20min. Have been on mission with my Spanish this week apart from today as haven’t found the time to study so far. Going to a language exchange tomorrow.
Food all within budget. Grateful for books, feeling positive and motivated, seeing jobs that I could possibly be suited to.
Hope everyone is well x

NSD No 18 (can't believe I've achieved that many!)
Shrewrbie - I saw that in the news. How scary. I'm so glad you're OK.
Trying something new with pork chops tonight. Doesn't have a name. I just made it up as I went along. In the slow cooker at the moment. Cider, apple chutney, celery, onions, peppers (fresh and roasted from a jar). Apparently it smells great but since I have no sense of smell I wouldn't know. Proof will be in the eating. Still trying out a few new things and they seem to be working out OK. Making a blueberry loaf tomorrow. Wish me luck.
I've been in touch with a few friends a relatives by email today. Some are having a difficult time. My cousin lost her husband in October and is having a particularly hard time. Wish I could help out. But I hadn't "spoken" to some of them for a while and I think they were happy that I'd made the effort. I did have a particularly funny exchange with my brother in Canada about when we were little. I asked him what he could remember so I could add it to my memory book. Can I just say that his version is a bit different to mine. I seriously was not the big sister from hell. I love him to bits anyway.
Off to clear up after Mr Peanuts. His table manners have not improved and I think he's bringing his friends as well.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.9 -
Shrewbie- hope you are OK, sounds terrifying.
Thursday- still on NSD 13, had to get milk and bread, so topped up on rabbit veg at the same time.
The weather is awful, so cold and wet. Got home and had to change as my trousers were soaked.
Grateful today for efficient heating and getting away from work on time.7
