Nope, just decided to wing it.  Lots of grated ginger and 2 cloves of grated garlic, a leek, peeled carrot strips, handful of frozen sweetcorn and 2 packs of noodles in a pot with water, an oxo cube, a tin of water chestnuts and a hefty glug of light soy sauce, , bring to the boil, take off the heat, hefty glug of lime juice one tablespoon each of dark and light miso (boiling miso will kill the fermented stuff in it that is so good for you).  Literally a 5 minute meal.    The kids love it too - always a bonus.

Am on NSD 13 today.
Have done my first 2 weeks at my temp work.  Been going to bed early as I have been tired.  My days that I am working for the rest of the month have been confirmed.   Will have to chase up at some point if there are any shifts for next month.  Have been bringing my own lunch.  Tea and coffee is provided.  Trying my best to keep up to date with house chores.

Thanks @f0xh0les. I’ve had miso but never used it as an ingredient myself. Does it come in a powder? Paste?

NSD 12. Went for a socially distant walk yesterday with a friend & her daughters, then a walk with another friend today. It was good to have a catch up with everybody & break the monotony of a working week! Lots of rain showers, but today's route was a new one to me, & the views were spectacular!
Cleaned & sorted two shelves in the kitchen this morning, so felt I'd earned my jaunt 😁

Today I am grateful for getting out for a walk with dd, for watching the second half of Peter rabbit (recorded), for some bright sunshine, for the Thunderbirds film - 1966!!!!,for completing some school prep.

I finally gave up on a jigsaw today, not something I can ever remember doing before. It was only 600 pieces, but was sooo small. All the pieces were the same shape and very fiddly and I'd not even been able to complete the edge as they all seemed to fit together even when wrong.... I did all the bits with some sort of pattern on them, but the plain ones, and the ones where the colours blended into another colour, were just beyond me! So I only admitted defeat and packed it away. I know no one who I think would enjoy it, so it has gone into the charity shop bag.

It comes in a paste, actually the ones I have right now  come in squishy packets like tomato sauce does in a canteen.  White miso tastes totally different to brown miso, but I love the two combined.   You can get it in a powder, but I have only seen it as a  single serve cup soup thing, and that is no good for us.

Friday did end up being a NSD. Saturday wasn't, it was my birthday so we ordered a takeaway for dinner. NSD today, so that takes me to 10/15. 

Back to work tomorrow, my plan of taking the week off last week and that the plastering will be done by then was a little too hopeful. Bedroom 1 needs finishing, and bedroom two and three need starting. Reckon he'll be here until the end of this week. That means I'm working next week and there will be noise, but at least the drilling has stopped (for now). 

Mopped the floor downstairs today, it looks a bit better, but I think I'll have to scrub on hands/knees to get bits off. Also managed to clean the office space in bedroom number 3. The dust had settled pretty much everywhere, but it's cleaner now - will have to give it a good wipe down every night, I think. 

Went for a run this morning, which was great. Found a new route and got my trainers soaked but it was good to get out on my own, listen to music and just be outside.
