Friday- NSD 10/15, just have to keep plodding now til the end of the month. Cat is fixed (very large piece of grass up her nostril- no wonder she sneezed all night and felt a bit rubbish). Work til lunchtime tomorrow then the rest of the weekend off- fingers crossed the weather stays as it is and we can get out for some decent dog walks. I also want to do some baking and if it's not already in the house we will not be eating it- I refuse to buy more food until the fridge contents are much reduced!
Grateful today for the cat being easily fixed, for the fridge containing "easy" dinner options, clients appreciating the work we are doing at the moment (not all of them do- but some of today's did and even better- they told me).6 -
Evening all. Haven't posted for a few days but up to 11 NSD's which is pretty good for me! Went to see a consultant today for my back, £180 spent but can claim £125 back through my cash plan. Going back for my procedure in 2 weeks. Am excited to hopefully be almost pain-free after 4 years.
Also had my first vaccine through work. I feel bad as I'm not vulnerable but work in social care and the courts so I do "get" why they've given it to me, just feel really grateful. Work is still a mess, more people leaving and question marks over whether worked overtime will be paid (nice of them to tell us after the event!) But overall the week was pretty good.
Grateful for a lie in tomorrow, my cosy onesie, and hopefully a light at the end of my tunnel for my back.6 -

Today I am grateful for a run in the falling snow this morning (it was all gone by lunchtime), for the liddle app saving me some money, for a good tramp through the muddy woods this afternoon, for a warm and dry house to come home to, for a good book.

Been absent for a few days. I’ve re-read this month’s challenge because I’ve had no steam these last few days.
I was disappointed I didn’t get out for a walk most of last week due to the abundance of ice here. I felt lazy and sluggish. But I could have done exercise in the house - there are plenty of options online. This month’s challenge said ‘It’s not about what you can’t do, but finding a way around your limitations.’ I’m going to work on this this week.
I’ve been listening to a lot more music which has been good for the soul. I recently searched for the top albums of all time and came across Rolling Stone’s top 500 list. I’ve picked the top 12 to listen to from start to finish. I might include more but for now just the 12 - 1 each month. I was quite surprised at the positions of some - Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds at #2 out of 500 albums!
On NSD 8/15. Today should make it 9/15 as we got our groceries yesterday and there is nothing we need to spend on today.

Have an exciting social engagement for a promenade with a friend today! First external event for a few weeks. Am making more movements though towards possibly entering back into formal education - the madness of it. Might be better off not just to write more job applications! But why not just do both.
Have a lovely day everybody and remember to get out there - I did not go outside for 3 days, and it very quickly gets me down. Had a lovely promenade with ds1 yesterday. Need to catch up with ds2 though, he is in a bit of a state. Very quietly, but still - had computer problems on Friday and there just no room for that in the current situation, and we have no extra laptops or anything! Might need to talk to school.
Will stop ranting now, am grateful for possible sunshine today :-)

Hi turtles
Had a lovely day yesterday pottering around the indoor markets here. Found a new Mexican place that supplies sauces, tortillas and beans cheaper than the smkt so stocked up. Started on another book (one which I have been reading for 1 year + and not finished!) Bf and I danced to Madonna in the kitchen while he made tacos. He was drunk, I was sober. My vogue-ing was better.
10 days without alcohol... Gym today…. only on NSD 5 but spends within budget.
Grateful for the council workers clearing the thick compacted snow off the roads. It has now turned to ice maybe 4-5 inches thick and they’ve broken it all up and piled it up high at intervals on the pavements. It must have been back breaking work for those not using the snowploughs. I said thank you to one of them, then felt silly. I imagine no one thanks them for doing their usual job of clearing the rubbish off the streets.
