My weird colour sense would have suggested turquoise or a medium pale purple but you're probably more likely to have black boots so the black top might be easier to do.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. It seems a colour that could transition well, through seasons. White, peach, cerise, rose pink in summer perhaps
I was thinking brown, burnt orange, olive autumnal palette immediately, or a crisp white shirt, with a short tweed of browns and yellow type check riding blazer style and riding boots....Wealth is not measured by currency7 -
And just to make the choice even more confusing how about this for a colour combination
the photo is from this page Hedera colchica Dentata Variegata. Variegated Ivy Dentata (paramountplants.co.uk). I went looking for a green and cream variegated ivy I saw at a local Botanic Garden a few weeks ago as I didn't take a photo at the time; this isn't quite it but close. The one I'm remembering had pale yellow and quite pale sage green variegated leaves which was a very attractive combination.6 -
I had to look up burnt orange as a colour. Think Floss’ call of black will be easier to implement but fascinated!Cleveleys & Fleetwood yesterday - somehow a day at the beach includes a careful prowl of charity shops! An Italian cheese press spotted by Himself, some amazing Denby Imperial Blue serving dishes (excused Acquiz Rules as we use Imperial Blue daily) & I was just enjoying admiring a deep blue sky when the phone went.“Mum, I’m by this pub, please come & get me” - Not Quite what I expected, but he was there with a laundry basket full of Denby Ode! (And a clutch of DVDs for his own amusement.) We had to buy newspapers to wrap things, & youngest refused to buy any newspaper other than “the i”, so I spent an unexpected half hour sat in a carpark happily wrapping pieces of Denby and loading them back into the laundry basket while the menfolk chuckled at my still sandy feet.
I spend a lot of time indoors looking at computer screens so to spend hours where everything is at least 10 yards away (once we got onto the beach!) or more was blissful.11 -

Thank you everyone for your thoughts on wot colours look good with yellow. Gosh you all have some very inspiring ideas re pairing of colours!! Just wish I had the confidence for bright colours but I always feel so conspicuous when removed from my usual palette of navy/black/beige/sludge green. I love to see other people in bright colours tho. Think I will probably end up with the rather boring Hobbs inspired white t-shirt or a black top as mentioned by Brie and DfV6

On second thoughts, you could go with a knotted hem quirky pun or band tshirt and 'sneakers' (as the youngers in my life inform me) - chic, cool, understated
