I'm not interested in designer stuff, I just want good value for money and the thrill of the unexpected gift to self. If I hadn't tuned into chazzers years ago, I'd probably be treating myself to a lot more impulse lipstick / edible-treat-on-the-go purchases. Instead I've got a home packed full of stuff!!
It generated a thread here (dating back over 2 years):

Picked up several books this afternoon, a pair of casual trousers and the crowning glory was a Tefal Fresh Express Chopper for £8.50.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
A royal blue, ribbed, long sleeved Per Una top with a sporty blue and white stripe down one of the sleeves. It’s a detail I really like despite having to put up with DH calling them “go faster stripes” and making inane jokes. £1.50 so I’m being fairly frugal at the mo. It won’t last!8

Sole purchase for the weekend of a wicker waste paper basket which I have repurposed as a plant pot cover for one of my larger taller pots - it has a dish inside it for watering but the drab plastic is all covered
Very happy especially since it cost me £1 and there's no pulls or damage on the wicker.
Will keep my eyes peeled for more I think for the other larger plants I haveWealth is not measured by currency9 -

I was in S. Norfolk recently and we had a trawl thro the shops there.
Diss used to be our favourite- sadly now Diss-appointing as half the charity shops have closed. Did get a set of Banagrams party edition & a BG book- together worth £22 for £2! bargain and it's a great game as we discovered if you like playing with words.(Which I do)
Full complement of shops in Attleborough. The school charity shop is great- loadsa books @ 20 pence each. They have this pile it high sell it cheap philosophy- there was bread maker for £4. My friend said she fancied it- too late- it had gone from the window .
My best buy there (in the town)was a red patchwork leather hand/shoulder bag- £2.
Reduced price Christmas cards in Dogs Trust- 50 pence packet now as well as a lot of their merchandise hugely reduced. Presents for dog minded friends.
Locally Sue Ryder has a shelf of 'last chance' books. Just 30 pence each- at that price if I find that I don't like the reading matter then I just give to another shop!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Went for a meander around the St Gemma's Hospice shop in Otley this afty. Thought I was going to be leaving empty handed when on the very last rail my hand fell on a bright yellow skirt and I thought 'Woo Hoo, this feels like quality'.....and sure enough it was by Hobbs, midi length and in a heavy crepe fabric, beautifully made with a lovely silky lining and looked brand new. Now yellow is not a colour I ever wear but at 99p it raced through the 'only the price of a coffee test' so it came home with me. Fits perfectly but now I have the dilemma of finding a top, (preferably already in my wardrobe!) to wear with it. Hobbs styled it with a white top but I dunno????
Anyhoo, here it is on that well known auction site and I'm led to believe it originally sold for the eye watering price of £149.95!!!It really looks much better IRL tho...honest.
