I had to pass the Sobell House Hospice shop this morning and stuck my head in just in case and was rewarded with a lovely 3l steel casserole with a glass lid and a scandinavian embossed rolling pin with reindeer and other pretty designs.
Then I just dropped in to my favourite BHF and found a leather change purse, a BNWT M*rks 100% linen shirt, 2 perspex sets of drawers for jewellery, a gel cover for my bicycle saddle and a gizmo to secure locks from inside the door for use when travelling and so on.

Multiple items in the right size and style for myself (long casual summer dresses - probably why it's now raining, sorry!!), DS and DD, brilliant tops inc Zara Kids ones for DS and where our local hospice gets brand new sample donations from Tesco's head office (also local) I got a brand new Elsa from Frozen fleece onesie, complete with fake braided hair section on the hood, for £5.00 - 3yro DD will be over the moon with it, as a few months back I found a Minecraft one for DS in the same shop, also a new sample one and she's not had a new one, only has her old 18-24mth ones!
DD is easier as I have a ridiculous number of friends with girls only a year or two older than her, flooded with handme downs for her but lacking in slightly older boys for bits for him.Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Jan 2012: £16,000+ [STRIKE] Credit Card & Overdraft Debts Sep 2013: £13,023 [/STRIKE]

I really like that Scandi Christmas embossed rolling pin, @greenfinches!
I had a day off today, and called in to a few charity shops in a nearby town while running errands. A new Helen and Douglas House had opened up since my last visit, but I came away with nothing this time 🙁6 -

Just seen this blog by the MSE team: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/team-blog/2019/01/Charity-shop-bargain-hunting-tricks/
I'm not interested in designer stuff, I just want good value for money and the thrill of the unexpected gift to self. If I hadn't tuned into chazzers years ago, I'd probably be treating myself to a lot more impulse lipstick / edible-treat-on-the-go purchases. Instead I've got a home packed full of stuff!!No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Took advantage of the Oxfam sale yesterday and snapped up:
Grain Brain - Dr David Perlmutter
The Wheat Belly Cookbook - Dr William Davis
The Alice B Toklas Cookbook
A revised edition of the Abel & Cole cookbook which was previously called Out of the Box IIRC
