    That's always the plan

I've got into a bad habit of not walking with food and drinks when going to the hospital and when out and about generally. This results in my either going hungry and thirsty all day and then buying crisps and chocolate along with other 'immediate' food. Or, I waste money on poor food choices whilst out and about.

To save money I will be buying a flask and packing my water bottle and a lunchbox whenever I leave the house!

Meal planning, list shopping and batch cooking are all on the way back!

That's something that I need to do aswell. It's hard to initially get into or back into it but I think once you have done a few days it will feel fab and become habit.

It's easy to forget and we pay so much over the odds when we buy convenience foods. I saved so much when i realised this about work lunches.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022

    Thank you both.
Getting ready for a full-on day. Packed lunch, water and coffee are now in my back pack.. I haven't even had them and I feel better just for being organised and knowing I won't be eating poorly or wasting money!

It's more controlled when made at home, you know exactly what you want in it rather than trying to pick something from an overpriced selection.

    Thanks @MovingForwards and @Skint_yet_Again

Well yesterday was an improvement. I made breakfast that I ate about noon but as I didn't get home until 8pm I STILL BOUGHT CRISPS! I made some seeded crackers that are delicious, so I need to ensure I always have a supply. I'm also making some turkey/veggie burgers and some falafel this weekend and making raw veggie crudités so I have a supply of grab and go food. I also need a new flask as the one I used did not hold heat well.

My money saving today is avoiding the Farmer's Market! :)

That's a big change DIA, you can't expect to get it all right first time else you'll have nothing to learn from.

Did you heat your flask, add hot water for about 5 mins, before adding the contents.

    Good luck avoiding the market!
