If you are rushing off to the hospital and stressed it’s understandable you not being organised.

Some people on mse make sandwiches for packed lunch & freeze them so they can be taken out in the morning & will be defrosted by lunch time. Maybe that could help if this is going to be a regular occurrence.

    Thanks @Skint_yet_Again :)

I spent a fortune today as I needed to treat a friend and it was a nephew's birthday. I don't mind. It is wasted money that annoys me. I'm going to try and keep this as a low spend week to make up for it. I'm thinking of low cost eats like dahl, veggie burgers, turkey, roasted veggies, soups, and salads. I have most of these already and I have a pre paid veggie box to collect this week too, so a low cost week should be easy enough :)

All sounds very nice, healthy and low cost. Can't beat a good dahl.

I cooked a turkey drumstick in the slow cooker and roasted some veg. Very MSE
I had cravings for wine and crisps so I bought individual sizes for both. I'm putting on weight so the small sizes are good if I must! They are also cheaper :)
I did spend money today but used cash I found about the house.

Slow cookers are great, nothing like walking through the door after a long day and food is ready to be eaten.
Maybe we should refer to it as c0v1d curves. A glass of wine is good for the body.
Well done using available cash instead of new.

I managed to stay in the black this month.
I paid for my bike out of everyday money so June is going to be tight.
I got a bus to Ald1 and it was so much cheaper that I plan to do this instead of using local shops.
I'm giving the vegbox a break for June.
For June I'm going back to a weekly budget of £55 (for gas, electricity, fun and food) It is tight so I am going to join the NSD thread to make it easier! :)

It's money well spent, saves money and gets you about. That is a tight budget, but I think you'll find a way to make it work.
