Start small and go back to basics.
    1. You need a budget and have to try and stick with it.
    2. Shopping lists for food shopping, if it's not on the list it's not going in the basket.
    3. Meal planning, get back to making your soups!

I'm know you're looking at transport costs and other areas.

Savings are hard. Aim lower to begin with, see if it's achievable and slowly increase it as you get back on track.

  • Thank you @MovingForwards I agree with your comments, but I do know what to do. I've been on these boards for over 10 years. I just need to do it! I'll be posting here to keep myself accountable and to monitor my progress. :)

Thank you for the encouragement @savingwannabe, the CC all be paid off tomorrow, then I can start saving. :)

    Saving steps

    Restart menu planning.
Allow myself to pay for travel one way only, either walking there or back where possible.
Budget £60 a week for all everyday spending. (I will review this but if I walk more and nab a L!d! veg box weekly it should be possible)

    Wishing everyone a good day.

How about I say stop talking about it and do it, you'll thank yourself. Or we can keep badgering until you do it just to shut us up 😄

I just worry you're trying to do a lot, have loads going on and all you're doing is adding extra pressure at a time when you need to be nice, gentle and kind. When you're more settled things will be so much easier and become second nature.

  • Thank you. Please don't worry. I think I'll take a break from my diaries for a bit.
    Wishing everyone well :)
