    Ahh love my flowers  :)
Yes onwards and upwards, each thing we are doing is putting us in a better place and I need to keep that in mind.
The decision has been made that lwe will be keeping the BTL after discovery of a heafty fee if we pay the mortgage early... We are both OK and tbh glad the decision is made. Tbh it's probably not the best time to sell so may be better in the long run.
My son has his meds but was up in the night so I hope that isn't linked as I was just getting used to a bit more sleep. I am looking into the possibility of adding him to my work health ins plan to see if we can get his procedure/op done quicker.

Got a quote for some further work on the BTL today and the cost was reasonable so going to try and get that booked in soon as we have a good momentum going atm. They are doing plastering work and it's tempting to get some bits in our house done at the same time but I am holding off, that will be a treat to look forward to when the other house is done and should rightly be our priority atm.

  • Revisit selling / keeping the BTL when there's no ERCs to consider.
Your home will get done when the time is right. If any of the type of work is the same for the BTL and your home, it would be worth quoting for both as as individual jobs, it may work out a bit cheaper doing the two.

Does the little guy take his meds at night or for breakfast? Sometimes, altering when they are taken can make a difference, as can the amount of food / liquids taken with / before them. Also, a new med needs time for the body to adjust or a lower dose to start with. Keep a note of everything for when you next see / speak with his Dr / consultant.

  • Makes sense to keep the btl if it will cost lots in charges to sell. Spending on its maintenance will protect your investment in the long run.

Hope your son is ok & has settled into his meds.

Sorry for lack of replies, we have had another flare up for my son and ended up in A&E, thankfully he seems to now be getting better.
Thanks MF, he takes meds with his evening meal but will ask if it's worth altering it with the consultant. I do think that the wake ups could be the build up to him getting ill each time.
We have overspent a bit this month so I am looking forward to pay day to straighten things up a bit.
Work tbh has actually been quite enjoyable the last 2 days. Lots going on in the business but getting myself in a good place day to day amd it's made a massive difference.
Work booked in early next month for the BTL and budgeted for out of our pay so although it means not so much goes to the EF it also means its not getting reduced again for the work. After that we need a bit more work done by the original tradesman I think but will review the situation then at least we are ticking along and progressing.
Hope everyone is well and thank you for your kind comments.

  • How in-depth are the records you're keeping? Can more information be added to see if you can start spotting triggers and flare ups?

Everything else is coming along nicely and it's great the EF isn't getting touched for the BTL.

Hi MF,  thankfully they are very in depth, I record everything temp, food, behaviour, sickness etc. The consultant found them very useful and have ultimately helped us to get a diagnosis and referal for a proceedure to hopefully help. The diagnosis is p3riodic f3ver syndrom3 and unfortunately it means he will keep getting sick (every 6-8 weeks in average but sometimes more) until he can have his proceedure/op and fingers crossed it will help but we are waiting for our apt in relation to that.
The meds he's on are to help stop it but unfortunately have the same side effects for an overdose as his condition, so this week we had to go to A&E due to that. It also difficult to know the dose he should have as not normally prescribed for his age.

  • He is in safer hands with you knowing what it is. The frequency should begin to reveal an advanced warning. Given time and med tweaks, things should improve. I've everything crossed an appointment comes soon x
