I use "ScottishPower - Energy Exclusive Online" and get the rates I expect. I don't know how they differ.richardc1983 said:Thank you, is it the energy exclusive or energy exclusive online tariff we are on?
Just checked and for my region 11, the two rates are the same.1 -

I wouldn't expect any opening reading until after the YE Administrator has issued the final bills. SP will not want to have an unreconciled value especially as they are paying the credits to customers.
All SoLR bills take time as you are moving at the pace set by other parties. The YE Administrator has to do things in a certain order to minimise further losses and maximise the money for the YE creditors.
The old customers (us) aren't at the top of the list here (or anywhere near it).1 -
Neo Energy seem to be the best for me! But not sure if I should change now or wait until the electric is confirmed as moved over. Gas is already moved over.gsmlnx said:

I have just applied for the switch to utility point. It was one of the cheaper ones for me and there is a £100 referral (on the referral board). Hopefully, it will go through 🤞. Both by gas n leccy are showing as SPI wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0

I'm envious of all of you that have the Sorry you're leaving message.I started switch to Simplicity on 1 Jan and, although account is set up on new supplier, and they've emailed twice now that they've initiated the switch, unfortunately they don't have a switch tracker (seem to be using same software as Neon Reef which is a bit limited) and nothing yet on SP account web or app. Keeping fingers and toes crossed that it's all progressing behind the scenes.0

Can someone give me a link or web address for the national electricity database please.....0

Being of limited understanding, would someone be able to explain the logic behind reducing their direct debit payments to SP, unless they were extortionally higher than they were to YE? Their SP charges will have to be paid in full eventually and until any credit finds its way from YE to SP, reducing payments may not cover ongoing charges. True, it's better to owe some money than to be owed it.
The DD monthly payments showing on my SP account are exactly the same as they were with YE, so I can't really see the point in changing them, even though my YE account was over £300 in credit. I may well have changed suppliers by the time that comes through.

As SoLR, SP are not allowed to prevent people switching away from them if they do not want to stay. The large credit will eventually find its way to SP, and SP will have to refund it if it isn't consumed by energy they bill you. Ideally the credit will be transferred before SP generates your final bill, otherwise it may be necessary to go back to them and get a revised bill including the credit when the amount is known.richardc1983 said:
It might be worth someone updating the first post on the first page that people can reference to. I don't have time to go through 92 pages to find out advice.Coys said:
As already mentioned more than once, it really doesn't matter. Just pick any valid tariff from any supplier, and switch to the cheapest recommendation in the report that you're happy with. The "saving" figure is academic unless you really need to know how exactly much SP would rip you off.richardc1983 said:Very disappointed with how this has been handled. Scottish Power have put me on a Tarif called Energy Exclusive which you cannot select this Tariff on the Cheap Energy Club to do a comparison
If I change supplier then SP could reject the change and then what happens to my large credit I had with YE?0 -
The logic is, if you have hundreds of pounds of credit being transferred from YE, and will only be with SP for a month or two, the credit may cover your usage without any further payments being made. It would be unwise to cancel the DD, as this will result in higher charges, so reducing it to the minimum permissible amount will avoid paying money to them that will have to be refunded later.by_eck said:Being of limited understanding, would someone be able to explain the logic behind reducing their direct debit payments to SP, unless they were extortionally higher than they were to YE?
