questions-new-supplier-scottish-powerI’ve already cancelled my direct debit. Should I do anything?
You don't need to worry if you’ve already cancelled your direct debit. Scottish Power will be in touch with you to set up a new customer account and direct debit. They will also be able to tell you what will happen with any credit balance you may have with Yorkshire Energy.”0 -
I've just received the same email this evening. ...the thing is I started a switch to Neon reef early December and have been with them since 3/1 /21 for electricity, my gas is with Zog since June . I emailed Neon that the super efficient people at SP have been trying to take over already switched accounts as someone mentioned further up these pages, he assured me that I was with Neon and nobody had attempted to switch me and he would keep tabs on what was going on. I cancelled my DD to YE 11/12/20 , it has not been reinstated and no money has gone out for my 15/12/20 bill and my £5 credit is still showing on my YE account. I never passed my DD Info to SP and haven't ever heard from them from 7/12/20 until today 6/1/21. I'm hoping I have made a clean break of it and will gladly pay the YE balance by cheque or credit card.

Who knows what SP means by "account setup".
They could have included it in this email. So they are stalling.

Stalling to hide the rates I think, why else!
Interestingly my online account no longer shows a direct debit (it was set to the previous yorkshire energy one...) and it says this. We're sorry to see you go.
From now on, your balance and bills will only reflect your remaining fuel type.
But it doesn't say which one is remaining!
My avro energy account on the other hand is up and running in a day.1 -

I suspect with working from home a horrendous bill from SP.1 -
YE have gone ti....bankrupt. A bankrupt company cannot trade so it would be the appointed administrators possibly or perhaps SP are after my DD info so they can bill me. I sent read to SP 9/12/20 and read to Neon 29/12/20...... the email is probably just a fishing exercise from SP.

I’m not bothered about the D/D more than enough in the account, more bothered with no account set up and eventually getting some of my money back from Scottish power.0
