Telling me its switching electric, but where can I find my supplier for this?
If I switch without seeing my credit balance appear on SP, will it follow me to the new supplier if I choose to switch today?
Go to your DNO's website and it should tell you.  SP have said they will send a cheque if necessary.

Given nobody else has reported issues with their switches, I've taken the plunge today and started mine. Will report any problems, but I'm fairly confident there won't be any.
I assume that you have been updated on the Gas DB now?  When did it show SP for you?  Mine still on Daisy today.  Yes you will probably know of problems fairly quickly.  Would appreciate keeping all of us aprised.
No, my property has never been registered on the gas DB ;)

There was a link quite a few pages back that links to a 3 page pdf on the SP website that shows a map of the supply areas and the kwh rate for gas and electricity . Using this energy exclusive tariff list I found my electric to be 15.8 p per kwh with a 20 p per day standing charge which is much more than YE and my new supplier Neon.
This was the link I posted. Thought I'd repost it as it was quite a few pages back and there appears to be a number of new posters that were struggling to find the Energy Exclusive tariff rates for their area.

I haven't had anything for SP other than the initial email to fill in my details, which I did. Is it safe to start a switch now? How do I check if the switch to SP has completed? I have no login details for SP, nothing.

One of my previous providers (can't remember which one) set up a DD and took the first payment in the minimum possible time for a new DD set up.
I hope my new one does, otherwise I'm going to need another direct debit to meet the requirements for that account.
I'm kicking myself I didn't ignore the advice as all the deals are rubbish now. Avro on quidco with no exit fee is going to be my holding tariff. Not being able to plug the scottish power tariff on any comparison website means I'm leaving blind, but as scottish power haven't even emailed me so I can get online then I'm pretty sure I don't want to be with them.

Use Basic Energy v2 if Energy Exclusive Online isn't available (it's the tariff ex Tonik were put on and, for me anyway, it was the same as our SP one)
There is 2 Energy Exclusive, Energy Exclusive and Energy Exclusive Online not sure if there is a price difference but checking my account I am on Energy Exclusive no doubt if there is a different  price Energy Exclusive will be dearer
Only one thing stopping me from starting a switch is my large credit balance with YE don't want to lose that or go through hoops to get it back

Find out who your local energy distributor is, most have a search tool on their website.

You could be waiting many weeks for the credit to find its way to your SP account.

It still shows "Daisy", I assume this means I haven't yet been switched? And therefore, cannot yet initiate a switch away?

My assumption, which might well be wrong, was the the Online version was applicable to those that signed up to a DD and got non paper bills and the non online version for those that want to pay by cheque/card and/or on receipt on bill.  Last time I looked at the differentials (and that was a week or so ago) there did seem to be about 1p unit uplift on Electric and 0.5p unit on Gas for not having DD.

Well I think I'm going to make the leap, and trigger my switch. Sadly back to Eon. £84pa cheaper than SP's Energy Exclusive, on a fixed dual fuel. £4 more pa than single fuels with smaller providers.
With potentially £44 cashback from Topcashback for duel fuel switch, Eon may work out to be only £3 per month (£36pa) more than YE for me.
On balance, for me Eon seems a safe house for the moment.

Right so leccy has changed over, but gas still not.
Even though daisy is still showing as my supplier I assume I've been paying SP tariff rates since November?
