Tranboy said:There was a link quite a few pages back that links to a 3 page pdf on the SP website that shows a map of the supply areas and the kwh rate for gas and electricity . Using this energy exclusive tariff list I found my electric to be 15.8 p per kwh with a 20 p per day standing charge which is much more than YE and my new supplier Neon.

I haven't had anything for SP other than the initial email to fill in my details, which I did. Is it safe to start a switch now? How do I check if the switch to SP has completed? I have no login details for SP, nothing.

One of my previous providers (can't remember which one) set up a DD and took the first payment in the minimum possible time for a new DD set up.
I'm kicking myself I didn't ignore the advice as all the deals are rubbish now. Avro on quidco with no exit fee is going to be my holding tariff. Not being able to plug the scottish power tariff on any comparison website means I'm leaving blind, but as scottish power haven't even emailed me so I can get online then I'm pretty sure I don't want to be with them.
Only one thing stopping me from starting a switch is my large credit balance with YE don't want to lose that or go through hoops to get it back0 -

Well I think I'm going to make the leap, and trigger my switch. Sadly back to Eon. £84pa cheaper than SP's Energy Exclusive, on a fixed dual fuel. £4 more pa than single fuels with smaller providers.
With potentially £44 cashback from Topcashback for duel fuel switch, Eon may work out to be only £3 per month (£36pa) more than YE for me.
On balance, for me Eon seems a safe house for the moment. My farts hospitalize small children0 -
