I supplied my meter reading to Scottish Power on 07/12/20, and my account showed as Switching, with a supply date of 30/12/20.However, today, a day later than the estimated switch date and after more than the 3 weeks stated to complete the switch, the account still shows as Switching, with 0 for the supply date. The switch details state "There is nothing for you to do now", yet the Switchover Progress shows "Your switch is under way" with the next step to be done "We need a meter reading".Does anyone know whether a further meter reading is needed to enable the switch to progress, in addition to the reading I entered on 07/12/20?After the switch has been completed, I will have to see whether the online account shows the credit balance that is currently on my Yorkshire Energy account, and if it does not, phone Scottish Power to transfer the credit to my account, and only then start on the comparisons to see what alternative deals are available.

Ah yes; Ublock Origin and Adblock Plus block reciteme.com. Thanks!

Just to reinforce the point about SP's tardiness made earlier in the thread, Citizens' Advice this morning showed a tariff from 'Green' as my best bet when switching. I checked directly with Green and that tariff had been axed two days ago. Thanks, Scottish Power, your delaying had landed me with EDF's SVR as my best option,0

No, the meter reading on 7th will serve as your opening meter reading for SP.

On SP website login on my account I'm no longer showing as Elec switch in progress so all seems completed. (edit: just checked app and both gas and electric now showing as Switch Completed).
DD has now showing the £94 odd same as YE but recommending £130 (up from£57 this morning). Find My Supplier still not updated though...0 -
One thing I have noticed now is that the YE readings (available through the 'View Your Tariff' button) are now no longer visible so something has happened at the YE site. Some folk are able to have functionality on both the SP website and the app whereas others like me are unable to. It is not a good advert for any company let alone one of 'The Big Six'. Even British Gas were better re email communications (when I got a SOLR with Breeze last year). Too late for me to get rattled and with the New Year Bank Holiday looming and the weekend as well, I cannot see anything happening for me until next week now but I reckon a full calendar month from the original demise of YE/appointment of SP as SOLR must see some more communication + (more importantly) the national databases showing us all as having been transferred to SP by January 6th at the very latest!2
