Right both gas and elec showing SP on the DB's does this mean I can switch away from SP.
What happens to my credit balance of over £200
Also although it shows completed on the DB SP are showing no meter reading on gas, both gas and elec were given on the same day by email and phone to SP

Mine is setup as well. Looking for switching. Symbio energy is coming cheapest for leccy(saving £150/yr) but the feedback looks dire. Neon Reef is 2nd best(138 saving). Is Neon any better?
    Thanks
Owned by same people as Utility Point (who are coming out one of best for me so thinking of going with them)

My stepdaughter is with Neon Reef for Electric. Switch went smoothly although still (5 months on) she hasn't had a bill as they can't get the verified opening reading but that seems to be due to SSEs incompetence so can't comment on bill accuracy or speed of production (one of YE strong points).  Website and App are basic but functional. Meter readings easy to submit and can submit photo.
No telephone contact but they have responded quickly and helpfully to emails (although last one sent on 27th hasn't been responded to yet but might due to Xmas period).
So happy enough so far with caveat about not having been able to check that billing is accurate.

I see they raised their tariff somewhat from the 11.9p/kWh she is still paying but still kept the daily SC the same...hopefully this will mean that they will stay around for a while (and that they can afford to keep her tariff for a couple more months as it's all electric flat with no storage heaters!)
Thank you for the heads up.
About Gas, Zog is coming on top above BG.
Anyone has any feedback for Zog please? Otherwise I will go with BG evolve which is a bit pricier than Zog.
    Thanks
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

You cannot switch more than once per 28 days. Most switches take less than 28 days. If you don't mind your switch failing and having to chase your new supplier and restart it, then you could try it, bearing in mind the issues I mentioned in my previous response to you.
Credit balances will be calculated when YE generates final bills, and then they will be sent to SP. It could be a week or two yet before that happens.

Thanks for that so I need to hold off a little longer, problem with that deals and savings are disappearing fast and it seems some have managed the switch away already if I am reading posts here correctly
BG Evolve was my best but not now Avro and Green. seem to be coming out best, but using different comparison sites gives different results all so very confusing
This whole SoLR needs a big shake up

I've been keeping an eye on this thread as we too were happy customers of YE.  I sent in meter readings within 30 minutes of receiving SP's email on 7th Dec.  I cancelled the YE DD but it had gone out on 28th Nov and we had a credit balance of at least £250.  Apart from the initial contact from SP, we have heard nothing. Obviously we want to move away but I just checked on the supplier finding tool someone kindly posted about and it says we need to contact Western Power Distribution.  I haven't transferred the DD to SP.
A couple of questions: do you have to register with SP as a new customer?  I had (naively) assumed that they would send me the details.
Although I keep all meter readings each month, I can't submit them as we don't have any way of logging in.  Were other MSE-ers sent emails from SP or had they already registered?  TIA

UK Power Networks database has updated overnight and my electricity supplier is now shown as SP. I last checked it at 8 p.m. last night and at that time it was still YE. Gas has not changed yet.

The only people who have managed to switch away so far are the ones who moved quickly and started their switch before SP managed to claim their energy supply. That normally doesn't work, but in this case SP were slow. What we don't know is what date is recorded in the national database for our switch to SP - the best guess is the date SP was showing as our supplier - 30th December in my case. If that's the correct date, then a switch completing on 27th January would be ok. If it were backdated to the 6th December, then there would be no issue starting a switch today. The failed switch attempt by gsmh suggests it has not been backdated, or was still in progress when the national database was checked (he started his switch on 29th, a day before SP were shown as his supplier).
If there is a particular deal you want to ensure you don't miss, it is probably worth the risk of trying a switch to lock in the tariff, though I'm not sure what happens if your switch fails and the price changes in the mean time.
I'm not going to be rushing in personally, as I'm planning to use a cashback deal to offset the extra costs, so it is more important my switch is successful first time than saving a few days of SP prices.

There is a link earlier in the thread to the Western Power Distribution website where you can look up your supplier. It is on the homepage also, so shouldn't be hard to find.
If you included bank details with your meter read, then you'll probably see a new direct debit set up for SP, the reference of this should be your account number (some people have been unable to see the reference so it may depend on your online banking). The account number can be used to register a SP online account. Previous posts have described what can be seen online, which isn't much. There has been no communication from SP since the initial contact - someone who phoned was promised we would all be sent a follow-up email next week.

Northern Powergrid is showing SP as my electricity supplier (email in response to website enquiry yesterday), so I immediately applied to transfer my supply to Green.energy.  It all seems to be going ahead, with a transfer date of 17 January.

But it's annoying that the deal with Green is nothing like as good as those available a couple of weeks ago.
Aargh! Now had an email from Green to say that my switch has been rejected.  Northern Powergrid says my supplier is now SP.  My SP account says "Your switch is underway".  So still in limbo.

Thanks for the speedy response.  I did not include bank details due to the large credit balance.  We don't have any gas here and part of our property is heated by electric storage heaters, hence the large balance at this time of the year.
I will wait for further information from them.  I'm just frustrated that deals are being pulled whilst SP dither about.  I'm meant to be back at work next week (teacher who is completely confused by the contradictory messages from Frank Spencer Gavin Williamson) and wanted this sorted before that mayhem kicks off.  Oh well, happy new year one and all
