I'm afraid that my faith in customer services took a severe dent last year with the Breeze to British Gas SOLR switch. True SP may have personnel that know what they are talking about, but I am desisting from bothering to pick up the phone/get involved with chat lines until there is movement on the national databases re my registered supplier. Looking back on all the chats in January 2020 I believe that much of the information asked and received was from a point of view where both parties (myself and BG) were often talking at cross purposes. The only certainty in all of this is that SOLR switches take longer than the regular switch timeframe (of 17-21 days) but I am encouraged that the light is at the end of the tunnel with postees reporting movement on the national databases (mainly for electricity ATM).
BTW it would be helpful if folk can report on when they see the Gas supply registered on the national databases (in addition to the electric as some have already posted)0 -
I got the email from SP at 8.32pm on 7/12. I replied with a meter reading (elec only) at 9.43pm. SP showing as my supplier on national database as of yesterday but still showing as 'switching' on SP's website (previous customer logged in using old credentials).

Northern Powergrid is showing SP as my electricity supplier (email in response to website enquiry yesterday), so I immediately applied to transfer my supply to Green.energy. It all seems to be going ahead, with a transfer date of 17 January. But it's annoying that the deal with Green is nothing like as good as those available a couple of weeks ago.1

That says "You can use our online who is my supplier search, found on our homepage".
On the homepage there is text "Find out who your electricity supplier is and how to contact them".- but there's no action button; nothing to click!
Did you miss this box on the right-hand side of the page I linked? If for some reason the 'Find out more' button isn't working for you (works for me on this page and the homepage) then someone posted a direct link to the lookup form earlier in the thread, doing a thread search for westernpower should find it.Ahhh! I don't have the button with Firefox or Chrome, but it is there with Internet Explorer and Edge!Still says I'm with YE.0 -

Yesterday, UK Power Networks were still listing YE as my electricity supplier, today it's moved to SP. I'm now off to run some comparisons (again) and switch. The moral? Keep checking,0

Very odd, but if anyone else on Western Power has the problem, use IE or Edge.
