I went to my electricity distributor's website, which will differ depending on which region of the country you live in. Mine is https://www.westernpower.co.uk/customers-and-community/meter-point-administration-serviceGunJack said:

Yep my leccy is now SP, even though SP app still says switchover is in progress...but then why am I surprised!, although gas which SP has completed is still showing as Daisy. Love it when it's so joined up...not!
Link for electricity supplier in Southern Area if it helps anyone is https://www.ssen.co.uk/Whoisyoursupplier/Time to try a switch I reckon as Gas must surely be moved on database before the end of the 14 day cooling off period.0 -
Rang SP today looking for the new account number which some customers say they were given over the phone, but SP are now saying they will be Emailing ex YE customers with their SP account number from January 4th onward.SP have already taken one D/D and another is due on 14th Jan - If that is taken and I have the account number I'll consider myself fully registered and start the move to pastures greener.0

Electricity now showing as Scottish Power which has changed from yesterday in northernpowergrid region.
So when should I start a switch? Now, in 2 weeks or 4 weeks? Wait til email from Scottish Power confirming account transferred?0 -
it was my network distributor that told me to phone SP!! It probably doesn't help that it's SP Energy Networks, they don't have a live lookupmasonic said:

@D@DerwentMailman 's link to enwl works though.... SP now showing as leccy supplier, but the gas (findmysupplier) is still showing Daisy....
just checked SP's site again, looks like I've got an account page now, but despite the supplier db stating SP, the SP acct homepage still thinks the switch for leccy is in progress.....incompetent b*********s......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

It depends on how quickly your new supplier will complete the switch, as you can only switch once every 28 days. It may be possible to start a successful switch today or tomorrow. Some ex-Tonik customers started a successful switch the day after SP was showing as their supplier. The supplier I will be moving to claims they can have me fully switched 17 days after pulling the trigger. If you run into the 28 day limit then you'll generally be notified within a few days of starting your switch.locky123 said:Electricity now showing as Scottish Power which has changed from yesterday in northernpowergrid region.
