Ditto and the DD is still sitting there awaiting the siren call of SP's accounting behemoth. YE/Daisy still showing as my utility providers.GunJack said:no, still down

This is the most concerning part for me. Suggests SP has been very tardy in claiming our supplies and this may prevent us from leaving until the end of January or early February. Though I note some ex-Tonik customers stated they applied to switch the day after SP was listed as their supplier, and their switch completed 3 weeks later without a hitch. So there is some hope.[Deleted User] said:

One month with Scottish Power and my bill is going to be up by 35% this is only due to the imposed tariff change!!! I would have switched straight away if I could have to save myself £140 on these 3 past weeks not even a month! Called Scottish Power today and my account is not yet fully set up so have to wait for them to send me a letter.... I don't think ofgem is protecting us at all! What about leaving people on their past rates until the account is setup by the new imposed suppliers so that the consumer actually remains in charge and not be held hostage! This is mind boggling. I will definitely write to ofgem to complain about the way they deal with this. The only winners here are new suppliers getting more customers without having to break a sweat and on top of that charging them more to fill up their pockets during 4 to 6 weeks taking their time to set up your new account before you are kindly allowed to switch! Just plainly wrong @martinlewis is there anything we can do collectively to voice this to ofgem?
70000 new customers @ £150 each for 1 month = over 10 million easy profit for sp!!!!

Considering that the industry databases are updated every 24 hours (from what I have read) and we are now at 23 days and counting (since SP was appointed as the SOLR). You can forgive them if the transfer of supplier request (which should have been done very early on in December) cannot be completed until request day +14 (or whatever the minimum cooling off date is that seems to be hard wired in spite of SP being a SOLR) I will hold off from contacting them directly until early next week after the new year to see if movement has happened by then. But it is risible that a normal transfer can take only 17-21 days whereas we are now at 23 days and counting. Hopefully the transfer away from SP will be smoother should we exercise this choice.masonic said:

You must use one hell of lot of gas & electric if you reckon you're £140 out of pocket over 3 weeks...Izzy1234 said:One month with Scottish Power and my bill is going to be up by 35% this is only due to the imposed tariff change!!! I have spoken to SP this morning and although they have given me an account number, they said my account will not be set up until 15th January (5 weeks after I have given them my final readings). I was told they are still waiting for details from YE before they can open the account! I cannot get into my new account with SP despite having the account number. I think it is totally unacceptable that they can charge rates we have not agreed to and have no control over. I will also be challenging this.

For comparison, on 10th December 2018 OneSelect failed and Together Energy took over my supply on 24th December, exactly 14 calendar days later.[Deleted User] said:

For what it's worth, here is my experience with YE/SP. On the day after YE ceased trading and the information was forthcoming that SP were going to be my supplier, I thought not a chance in hell of my hard earned cash going to them. So despite posters advising against it, I, along with my neighbour initiated a switch. We found , on this occasion, that using 2 different suppliers worked well for us so that's what we did. The switch using British Gas (Evolve) and Neon Reef for the electricty has been staggeringly easy. Emails from both Suppliers telling us of how far we were along in the process have been frequent and spot on. I await with baited breath the account from Scottish power for the short time I have received supply from them. So pleased we took a chance.

That's what I would have been tempted to do. Did your YE account have much of a credit balance?sallysaver said:For what it's worth, here is my experience with YE/SP.
