The biggest problem at the moment is that all the good, cheap fixes have been disappearing from the comparison sites at a rate of knots.....there'll be nothing decent left to switch to by the time SP sort themselves out  :s
Every cloud has a silver lining... if there are no cheap fixes available by the time we are able to switch away, it will save the effort of going through another switch and reduce the time-sensitivity around final YE bill issuance and credit transfer.
It's a variable rate we've been put on and if prices are on the rise generally you can bet SP won't be slow to join in.

They need to give 30 days notice of any price increase. It's unlikely they'll be in a position to give such notice until the accounts have been transferred, which takes us up to February next year. They also had the benefit of setting the tariff just over a week ago, so it will likely already reflect recent wholesale price increases.

When I log in to my SP account, under tariff it says "caveats P_FIXED_E23B P_FIXED_E23B". What does the FIXED mean?

Interesting, I have ERC_FIXED_E23B. I don't know what it is that is fixed, but according to the E23B T&Cs it isn't the price.

get where you're coming from, but the fixes that are around are still £140 pa cheaper than the SP tariff ;)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

I know. If there are any with a substantial saving still available when I'm able to switch again I'll be taking one up. But if there is nothing decent left to switch to I'll not go through the hassle just to save a few quid.

BG Evolve still looks good for me 12 month fixed and no penalty to leave should a better deal comes along
Saving of well over £100 over SP's tariff
Just need SP to pull their finger out and I'm off
Don't understand SP surely if they had put us on a competitive tariff many would have stayed
