Just checked my YE account and I'm pleased to say that the direct debit which I reported was taken from my bank account on Friday has now been credited, so that's a relief.0

Marvellous..... I've just done a few more comparisons. Whilst comparisons on 6th December showed some reasonable tarriffs (slightly more expensive than YE, but better than SP). A few of my better options have disappeared.
Kind of guessing by the time YE customers can switch, many more will have disappeared. My farts hospitalize small children0 -
I logged into my account (I managed to reset my login details from last year last week), to discover that I am indeed switching to SP. They are asking for meter readings again.
You can submit your gas meter reading between 27/11/2020 and 14/12/2020.
You can submit your electricity meter reading between 23/12/2020 and 06/01/2021.

And they don't want the electric reading until 23rd December at the earliest. What's that about?!!!
Now my ac says switching
I wonder at what rate will I be charged for elec between 7th n 23rd Dec.I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T0 -
Logged into my online banking today to see a new ScottishPower direct debit has appeared. This is using the details I provided on the form and not the details from YE (as that was pulling from a different bank account). Fingers crossed it will be for the amount I specified when it first pulls. I've still not been informed of the collection schedule, so technically they will be in breach of the DD Guarantee if they try to collect within the next 10 working days.

Prompted me to look at my own Bank Acc, and yes YE have taken another D/D today - However YE's site still open for the 'See my Bills and Payments' window, and as yet this D/D is not listed

I don't like the way it's phrased as 'Your move to Scottish Power is underway'. As soon as that's all setup I'll bin them off.
Following the posts above , I see my usual D/D was taken 2 December by YE, and shows as such on their site. So on paper, I was £57 in credit with YE. Lord knows what the Scottish Power tarriff will be like but I don't intend on hanging around long enough to suffer it0 -
Yup, SP have created a ddm on my bank account. No date, no amount just a reference. If that 'reference' is my new account number does that mean my account is set up at SP and thus I could start my switch to another energy provider?

Direct debits are often set up well in advance of a supply being taken over. It will be a minimum of 14 days from YE going bust before SP completes the takeover.Edit: looks like the reference is your account number, so you can use that to set up your online account and track your switch. - I'm in and I can now see SP intends to take the first DD payment next week.
